I have a feeling he might have been luckier had he died upon impact. I could be wrong, but that was a pretty bad wreck. He might be drawing air, but it's hard to see how he could have any quality of life after that wreck.
Holy bajeezus! I was watching the video trying to figure out which car was going to wreck and he came out of no where. Better to arrive late than never at all. The article says you can see where he was ejected, but I can't find him. I thought for a moment it was in front of the white SUV who brakes on the right. Can anyone else see him?
that was my thought too..i wonder how severe his injuries are and if he will have any debilitating injuries if he ever recovers.
ok that's probably why he survived because he was ejected before hitting the barrier...there's no way he would have survived if he also hit the barrier.
that crazy thing about the internet these days is not only can video's like these "go viral" as the article notes in sentence one (as in the most amazing part of the story is that the video has gone viral), but you can google the kid's name, find his myspace page, pictures, etc. As the parent of a very very young child, hopefully this will help me parent when he's old enough to drive. Think you should drive like an idiot - well, take a look at this, now look at his life before hand, etc, etc. When I was a teen, you knew crashes could get violent and you could die, but it wasn't as personal. The fastest I've ever driven out in public was when I was 17-18 - i was lucky enough to drive a Porsche on a very wide, 4 lane road with the lanes separated by a large grassy median...got up to 156 mph.... crazy, irresponsible, r****ded, idiotic, dumb, etc. also lucky, i guess.
