Okay...there's this site... http://www.20q.net/ If you play the game, it basically asks you questions and you click on the answer that applies, and it tries to guess the object that you are thinking of in your head. I was thinking of a baseball cap, and on it's 20th question, it guessed "baseball cap." basically: A pretty amazing experiment in AI that learns each time it's played. Think of something then let the computer ask you questions. Check it out!!! http://www.20q.net/
Holy crap...the 2nd time i tried it i was thinking of a "video camera" and it guessed "camera" on the 20th question. Pretty damn good (i'll let it get away with it this time, close enough). EDIT: Third try...it guessed "snowboard" in 29 questions...which is what i was thinking of. The more people that do this, the more knowledge this database will have and the smarter it will be. crazy. EDIT: 4th try, i was thinking of "rocket" and it guessed it correctly on the 20th question.
It took 29 questions for cheese. Some of the questions were weird. "Can it be used in the dark?" Uh....I guess so. "Would a cowboy use it?" Uh...I guess if he wanted to.
I stumped it with a Ping Pong Paddle, it said I had contradictions lilke Ping Pong Paddles are NOT found in an office...although..I am at work and have 2 of them sitting on my shelf...so I answered sometimes. DD
I stumped it with "penis". Afterwords it made me submit it as a new item that it never knew about and explain what it was. I just said as the explanation, "you know what it is, i hope".
