I'll bet the Suns now wish they had gone through with that Amare trade they were contemplating a few weeks ago.

That's another game that Deke won't be coming in off the bench for. It's more Scola at backup C in the Western conference.

I hate this for one reason : the guy had so much potential. I honestly think he could've been one of the most dominant players at that position ever... especially as he pushed his jumpshot out further.

Too bad. I never ever liked the kid from the day he got drafted, ever. Especially after he said watching Yao getting owned by starbury was better than winning ROY. What a prick he is. I always hope that he would suck.

I don't wish injury upon anyone and it sucks for him with the knee problems. But just letting it be known that I hate the kid. He's one of the reasons why I hate the Suns.

Yao fans are obsessed with Amare. It is funny.

Even though I'm not ready to throw dirt on Amare yet like some of you, the Suns made a critical mistake not giving him up for KG. Their half-court offense wouldn't have worked as well without Amare's low post threat, but KG would have elevated their defense and rebounding to another level. I betcha Bryan Colangelo would have made that trade.

Without Amare, Diaw will thrive and make up a lot of the difference. But if Amare is gone for a long time, the Suns top 6 could get worn down because they don't have much depth.

Dudes, the guy had his knee scoped one month ago. Chill. It takes a while to get all the way back. Soreness is natural and will take a little time to dissipate. They're smart not to push him at this point.

This might continue to bug him here and there all season, just because he hasn't given it a long time to recover, but if there are no setbacks, he should be fine after a summer.

Marshall Falk came back three weeks after a knee scope and had three touchdowns, but unlike Amare, he had a whole week off before his next game. Amare might or might not have continued problems, but this soreness/sitting out isn't a good indicator, one way or the other.

I don't see how this is true. I'm a fan of Yao, not to be confused with a YOF, and I never think about Amare. I don't even watch the Suns game.

Perhaps, in a way, but Ralph was a better player before the injury. It's a bummer for any good and potentially great player to be felled by a recurring injury, and a nightmare for the team. He gets paid, regardless. The team pays in many ways... they lose the player they thought they had, they lose all they have invested in him, and not only the money, but the time and effort to bring him to the level he was reaching. They lose the marketing dollars they were counting on, and they lose the wins the guy would bring them. Just really bad news for the Suns.

We hated JVG for his 8 man rotation and not developing young players. D'Angelo uses a 7 man rotation and when Amare was out last year, he still used only a 6 or 7 man rotation. After the playoff loss to the Spurs with 2 players suspended, he mentioned that maybe he should of developed more players. I doubt he'll change his ways though.

Not many coaches do. Adelman is particularly infamous in Sacramento for not playing rookies, sticking to his 8- or 9-man rotations.

maybe this latest flare up isn't that bad or maybe it is a sign of ongoing issues..... wondering if the lakers would bite on a trade involving Kobe and Amare

    Amare
    Joe Johnson
    Barbosa
    Diaw
    etc...etc...

These are all guys who benefited from playing alongside Nash. The are good players to begin with but Nash made them great especially Amare and Johnson. Put Amare on a team without a decent PG and he would struggle. Same thing with K-Mart who made a living playing with Kidd but look at him now in Denver.

I wish there was an injury-off mode for real life.
