what do you think is better for the rockets, to try and get amar'e now, resign wafer, wait for yao to return (hopefully) and go in a playoff run with wat we have.

    or

tank the season, hope for a good lotto pick, let tmac contract expire, see what yao is going to do, give up chuck, get lowry back, and hope we can land bosh in 2010?

If the rox were gonna tank, then they wouldn't have signed Ariza.....They are building a core, capable of winning with or without Yao...That said, they probably won't make the playoffs with the roster as is, but we know Morey has other tricks up his sleeve. And with this core, 2010 free agents are gonna wanna play alongside those guys

If we can get Amare now, it will be great!! But, I don't think Phoenix will give him away.

Bosh isn't playing on two reconstructed knees.

Bosh might actually care about playing defense.

Bosh doesn't complain about his role or his team, even though Amare plays for a better team

we signed ariza for the future, not for now.
if we wanted him to win now, we wouldnt have offered 5 years.

Bosh and it's not close. I never liked Amare's game and I still don't know why so many people want him.

I'd rather have Chris Bosh than Amare, but I'm still bitter about the whole rookie of the year thing, so maybe that's it. I enjoy Bosh's all around game more, and he could be more of a force downlow if he gets the muscle going a bit more.
