The logjam at PF may force NY to cut Othella. Would you trade Amachi for Othella straight up. Similar salary/similar contract. Rockets get depth at four, NY gets a legit center. Nothing specticular, but logical. Comments........

I'd trade Amaechi for a stick of gum at this point.

that might actually make sense. new york really needs big men. it's weird to see a trade proposal that isn't stupid. :)

Not if Cato is going to be playing PF. We'd (sadly) need Meech to back up Yao.

I like Othella... he plays hard and hustles... has a nice hook shot, but having said that he's not who we need at the 4. I would much rather have Motay or Cato there.

Give Amachi a chance. The guy just joined the team and he happens to be one of a few players on this team with a brain. So lets just wait and see how Amachi will do as one of our backup centers.

Cato in going to back up Yao and do the spot duty at PF. Barring injuries, Amachei will be sitting at the end of the bench, while Othella will be in the rotation straight away and can really contribute. He will be a good insurance for Eddie and in case Eddie comes back and shows significant improvement, Mo T can be moved to create more space to use the trade exception to upgrade 3 and backup PG.

Great idea! Makes more sense for NY than a buyout.

Have you noticed everytime Amaechi goes up for a shot - he gets blocked? He must have a 2 inch vertical

I'd trade Amaechi for a strand of dental floss or maybe even a paper clip.

Amaechi has not one speck of JVG type player in him. He will not be on this team through the season, even if we have to buy him out. I think JVG gets sick every time he looks at Amaechi. If we could trade his no heart no commitment worthless pile of rotting flesh for anybody who will hustle I think JVG would be all over it. Even if the guy we trade for is 5'2" and 123lbs soaking wet.

If there's any way that NY would be stupid enough to take Meech off our hands, then yes...

Make sure it's mint floss, or else you'd have gotten screwed.
