Rafer Alston, PG Has not entered game

Now I've been busy this last week and haven't paid real close attention but I believe Rafer has benched not for injury or anything else but for simple suckiness.

I think he is in the inactive list because of injury again.

I haven't seen anything about him being injured. There is no thread for it either. What him not playing has done is make T-Mac more of a PG, which isn't a bad thing. He's got 7 assists already while BJax is scoring.

I hope his hamstring stays sore...

Bobby Jackson and Brooks are playing above him as of late.

Bobby Jackson takes more intelligent shots, and Aaron has been pretty impressive lately.

addition by subtraction. hopefully the emergence of jackson/brooks will greatly lessen alston's minutes in the playoffs. by letting tmac play PG to start the game, it allows him to not force the issue. plus, jackson/brooks are better shooters than alston.

Being a better shooter then Rafer Alston is like being in the Special Olympics...

    yeh...

Although, I do have a feeling that some people on this board vastly underestimate the RAFE.

Brooks is making his case to get minutes in the playoffs in these last couple of games.

    Rafer is too inconsistent.

When he got hot, he took too many shots and just got lucky.

When he tanked, he took just as many shots and bricked them, which cost us some games. It was as though we lived or died by Rafer's play, and that shouldn't happen.

the thing i didn't like with adelman after the streak was when alston sucked, he didn't make a change by letting brooks play. people do not respect alston. with brooks, he'll blow by you even if he you give a ton of space.

    Agreed.

When Rafer was playing awful, Adelman should have given Brooks some playing time.

Just because we have Rafer and Bobby Jackson does not mean that brooks should be left riding the pine.

as crazy as it sounds we have a pass first guard already...

his name is Tracy McGrady. Brooks and Jackson are much better scorers than Alston so they fit better. I think Alston is a smart player just not what we need because tmac will make the plays, all of these guys are getting open looks so it helps to have someone who can knock it down.

Yeah, too bad Rafer had to start at PG during the second longest winning streak in NBA history.

So has Brooks earned regular play time even when Rafer gets back?

He's had 3 solid games so far, and hasn't really been inconsistent.
