Apparently this post is controversial in the GARM so I brought it here.

    http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=4687229&postcount=185

Hakeem passed him the ball like that dude gave Moses those commandments
    The sea of misery parted
and the righteous Rocket fans walked to the Summit

As his people who bought furniture from Mattress Mack and watched his wrestling at the Sam Houston Coliseum and avoided restaurants with slime in the ice machine were free.

I think God deserves more respect than "That dude"...and making bball analogies to religion...can't you see how that may offend people??

    no, but this was

As Billy Ocean would say (blackknight can google him too)
When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Going

Many years have the Rockets and the Dream have been romancing the stone
    but it finally happened
and heroes are immortalized in our hearts not on basketball-reference.com

I'm sorry, Hakeem Olajuwon was a GREAT basketball player, so was Michael Jordan, etc.

Heroes are the people who fight for our freedom over seas, the cops (non- corrupt ones), firefighters, doctors, nurses, etc.

People who save lives or risk their own to do great things.

Athletes and entertainers who make a difference in the world by donating to charity and giving their time to a cause are heroes, but they aren't heroes for what the do on the court, thats for sure.

I don't know, I would think Hakeem would be offended if you called his God, "that dude", just my opinion...he is a really religious person.

And on the 8th day, God made Hakeem, a man who would bring light forth to the basketball world, a true virtuoso and savior of the Houston Rockets. See, not really sac-relig IMO.

I see I'm going against a Hakeem/Vernon Maxwell cult...go ahead. Many more hateful things have been said/done towards God...

    But God is Great.

    Look,
If God didn't like them, he would have made the Knicks the Champions.

Your right. Everything is more hateful that what he said.

Dude. Just stop right now. :/
If you don't like it? Fine.
Nobody here is holding Hakeem or whoever higher above God. So please just stop. :S

    Keep the religion in D&D.

To me that was a MIRACLE, not like raising the dead, but the city of Houston's horrible sports demons were exorcised.

    We are in D & D...

Besides, I was just saying that Tinman should apologize for referring to Gos as "That dude"...I would be insulted if he called my father, "that dude", let alone the God I believe in.
