Am I just old, or do the VMA's totally suck?

    My girl convinced me to watch the beginning of this years video music awards, cause it was supposed to be Britney's big come back, and I always enjoy a good train wreck. Well it didn't dissapoint. Her performance had to be the worst attempt at lip synching I've ever seen, and she looked completely bored. But not only that, the entire show just seems ridiculous. I mean I honestly can't stop laughing at these idiots on my tv. They all look and act like complete morons.

    I am 28, and this is the first time I've watched the VMA's or MTV in about 4 years. Is this really what is considered cool by teenagers now days? Am I really that out of touch? :eek:

    Britney didn't just look bored, she looked totally out of rhythm. a couple times it seemed like she was about to stumble. basically, there was just pole dancing jiggle and no synchronized dancing whatsoever.

    yea, i watched it for the trainwreck too.

    I don't think they've ever been good. They may have had an interesting bit here and there, but overall they've been mostly full of crap.

    I'm 23 and the last one I can remember enjoying was the one on 9/9/99. Funny that I remember the date. Is that the right date? haha. Of course, I haven't watched the past few VMAs because I don't enjoy most of MTV's core artists anymore.

    It's bad and irrelevant - two fantastic qualities in an awards show.

    Best moments so far: Foo Fighters, Justin Timberlake challenging MTV to play more videos.

    Worst moments so far: everything else

    I'm 24, so it's not that you're too old. They just suck. Never cared for an award show ever, much less MTV or BET.

    Her stripper outfit would have been hot a couple of years and two kids ago. She is and looks like a mom. It was disgusting.

    Switched over as well for a sec. WOW, this is so horrible.. I mean, damn, this is NOT even an awards show. It's just..a random collection of useless crap. i'm 25 and really feel friggin old right now because I do not get this sh*t at all.
