i hope i don't get too blasted for this but i'd like to see us hold on to steve for a good while. you know, offer him the max and let him take us as far as he can. he has plenty to work on, court vision and defense come to mind first, but i hope the game tonight reminds us of what he does do. you can't just go picking talent like this out of the cba. he is the real deal and we should give him more than two and a half years to show what he can do.
STeve is good. He is definitely worth the max and he along with EG will make the Rockets a good team for years to come.
I entirely agree with you kidrock8,when Steve Francis is aggressive and looks to score he does very well and at the same time still manages to get around six or seven assists. He is definitely a keeper if he continues to play with this attitude.
get steve the max contract for the max amount of years, he is a great player. the best he have had since hakeem's prime. he is better than clyde was when he was in houston. steve can score, pass and rebound, he is the nba best rebounding guard
How can anybody even contemplate trading Steve? They call him Stevie "Franchise" for a reason. Hell I wouldn't even trade him for Carter or McGrady or Kobe or SHAQ!
Maybe I'm biased because he's my favorite player just as how Drexler used to be back in the day and I wouldn't have traded him for Michael Jordan but I guess it's kind of like a possession of yours for example a classic car or a basketball card. Sure something else might be better or be worth more but you wouldn't trade it if it was your favorite.
No thanks, hate all three of those players. Now Kevin Garnett... I would think twice about. But I seriously think changing the team would do us alot of bad rather then good.
only players i would trade steve for: Shaq, Duncan, Mcgrady, Carter and MAYBE Bryant or Iverson..Other than that forget it about it..Steve deserves the max and if we don't give it to him there will be 30 other nba teams that will be willing to.
Stevie is one the best all around players in the league. I don't care what anyone says I wouldn't trade him for any one player.
I don't think it's wise to make anyone untouchable, but I certainly wouldn't trade him for Andre Miller. I think Steve will be a great player.
You know what, that sounds like a better idea by the day. I certainly think he's capable of playing the two. I'd love it if he shot it 25 times a game. It's amazing that he's #30 in shots atttempted per game.
exactly...he's a scorer....don't make him be a playmaker...get a playmaker to set him up....we shouldn't be forcing our best scorer to set up scoring opportunities for other players...that's why we go to the 3 guard set so much in an attempt to get Steve off the ball. some might be happy with moochie norris as the starting point with steve at the 2....not me. i think you're point guard needs to be a bit taller if you have steve at the 2. but most of all, you need to get everyone to seriously commit to playing REAL defense....
