So I order a bundle on Amazon today... premium system, extra controller, 3 games for 599.99... paid for the one day shipping. Right now the delivery estimate says March 3rd. Is that right? I thought the 360s were still in short supply. Am I setting myself up for disappointment tomorrow?

Everything that I've heard is that while they are still hard to find, a little bit of hunting and calling around can usually net you a XBOX360 in about 1-2 weeks now. A buddy of mine at works just called the same 4-5 stores nearby everyday at the same time until they got some in. It was so easy that he kept doing it and has bought about 5-6 and sold them around the office, usually for just an extra $50. I would not doubt that Amazon has some, but they are only selling in bundles. I bet you do get it.
you probably will. I ordered a PS2 and paid a premium to some b-rate Canadian place when it first came out and it got there, so I think Amazon will get you one too.

I caved and got the Core system at Super Target the other day. I've found every accessory EXCEPT the freakin hard drive. I really don't want to spend $40 on a memory card....especially if I might be able to get a hard drive sometime soon. But, the question is: WHERE CAN I GET A FREAKING XBOX 360 HARD DRIVE? I was just at Best Buy & they had a few core systems on the shelf. I'll wait and get a premium system later. I love that new need for speed game.
Just a heads up for people looking for the Premium Package...I went into GameStop yesterday(in Longview) and they asked me if I wanted to pre-order a premium package. They told me it would be in early April (sometime the first week). But supposively it's the first time they've taken pre-orders since back in September.
IIRC, Peter Moore said you should be able to walk into a store in 4-6 weeks and be able to get a system...and that was like 3-4 weeks ago. Of course, maybe he meant the retar...uh...core package.
Okay update. Package shipped... now in Lexington Kentucky... looks more likely now. Wow so did I just get lucky? Sure I had to buy a bundle, but Premium system with extra wireless controller would have cost 450 anyway, so I just paid 150 more for three games that I may or may not have wanted... but I would have bought a few games anyway, and perfect dark and kameo seem okay
I am not a gamer of any sort but doesnt the 360 use standard ata hard drive much like the xbox did? or maybe even a sata drive. either way isnt it just a regular 3.5 drive. shouldnt you be able to just plug that in?
Yeah, I wouldn't worry about that shipping thing. I bought an MP3 player with 1 day shipping, and I got frantic when it hadn't shipped by late in the day. It actually shipped at like 11 the night before from all the way across the country, and was still here by 2 p.m. the next day.
