Don't think this has been posted yet, and I know it's been a topic for discussion here, but I saw this on the nba store's website....
I'd much rather have the black and red one that can be found in the wallpaper posted a while back on this site. It should be somewhere here on the site. That one was black and red, looked great. That would have been a great alternate when the other team wears red as well.
It just says neutral colour, not necessarily an alternate uniform. Looks absolutely horrible to me if we use that on the road though.

Yuck. Looks like someone took a normal Rockets home jersey and turned the brightness knob all the way down.
The Rockets have The NBA just needs to allow them to have a black alternate set and stop being such a b**** about a so-called mandate outlawing anymore black uniforms. The whole thing is effn stupid...... The NBA has prohibited anymore teams from using black as a primary color for a uniform set. This is why the Rockets alternate uniform set, to my knowledge, has been shot down TWICE in the last two seaons by NBA Properties. Washington also attempted a black aternate uniform...which was denied as well. They ended up settling on a retro-based alternate that consists of a gold top and black shorts. Boston also tried to go black...we know know what they got instead...black numbers and trim on a typical green road jersey. Sadly, unless the Rockets get really creative (which could be REALLY SCARY, see the Dildo years) I personaly believe we are heading for a Gray alternate so I guess you can use the Glacier Uniform (the NBA's answer to the NFL's Storm Jerseys) as a possible preview of what's to come.....and thats effn sad.
That is just downright hideous..... Our alternate uniform needs to be the black & red example on the Clutchfans wallpaper section. Those are sweet looking!
We could go Alternate Nuggets and just design a extremely out of the ordinary jersey with different colors... The Rockets main colors are red white and silver. People think black is one too but its not. So we would have to basically have a silvery jersey with red letters... The only option that i could see happening.
Not to mention Miami, San Antonio, Minessota, Portland and a few other teams I can't think of right now. And about the information that our request for a black alternate got shot down...ive only heard that on this board. does anyone have a link for more information or atleast share how they found this information out? Thanks.
No that's not an alternate jersey, it's just a style of jersey put out my adidas, like the black and white swingman jerseys for $80? A few more teams also have the same gray style jerseys, it's called "Glacier", I kno this b/c i work for the Rockets in their retail dept.
