A more likely scenario would be Shareef Abdur-Rahim to Houston with a re-signed James Posey going to Sacramento and Alston going to Miami. Abdur-Rahim won't beef about playing behind Scola and he will give the Rockets additional depth at the four/five. The HEAT would much rather move Posey than Haslem and Posey has already had discussions with the Kings that are said to have gone well. http://www.***************/article_22865.shtml Lock it if posted already. I don't know how reliable it is. But this makes more sense to me. Heats won't do Rafer <-> Haslem; and no way we will do Doleac <-> Rafer. Personally, I would rather keep Rafer. We can trade MJ later in the season.
I doubt that's real, but I wouldn't object to that at all. Abdur-Rahim is kind of like replacing Juwan Howard except he's younger and a bit better. I know he's a perennial loser, but who cares if he's coming off the bench?
I guess I should not post it. I didn't realize the hoops world (dot) com is banned here. Sorry. A bad source. Lock it please.
I don't see a need for him. He only scores and we already have Tmac, Yao, Francis, James and Bonzi who are all above average to great scorers. This team better keep Chuck Hayes or there won't be anyone other than Battier doing the hard work.
SAR is in serious decline but he's probably all we can get for Rafer. He'll become the new whipping boy to replace Juwan and Rafer.
****, I saw the title of this thread and thought an actual trade was going down. Turns out it's yet another random trade proposal.
If this were true, personally I'd prefer a straight Posey for Alston swap. Rahim is a very bad role player, who'd be a bad fit. I'd rather have Battier be the 3rd option at the PF position than this guy. Posey would make for nice depth for T-Mac's seemingly inevitable back problem/injury over the course of the season, and in case Bonzi becomes Bonzi again.
I'd go for Posey...I don't want to be part of dat Rahim playoff curse. We just got away from Juwan Howard curse
