Why oh why couldn't Toronto take care of business last night?!?! Oh well! Is there anything better than a Yankee/Red Sox series? Looks like the Yanks are going to have to embarrass Boston in their own home this weekend! Three games, end of season, who's it gonna be?
Oh, that's sad.. I thought this was gonna be a music thread that involed our own Manny Ramirez with the "IT'S ON!!" part I thought he was getting "served"
Mark, Best of luck to your team this weekend as I have always enjoyed our "friendly rivalry" - you aren't like many Yankee fans that I have encountered - obnoxious. I have been telling myself that even if the Sox don't make the playoffs, it is okay because of last season. However, there will be disappointment; I cannot deny that. I just wished that Schilling wasn't pitching the last game as I have no confidence in him whatsoever.
I want Cleveland to win three. Scenario a) Cleveland wins them all, Sox sweep, Yankees miss the playoffs Scenario b) Cleveland loses a bunch, Sox and Yankees both make playoffs I'd rather have a) than b), even if it means the Sox are at an increased risk of missing the playoffs altogether.
Is MLB testing Giambi? Seriously, the guy is the second half MVP after resigning his pact with Satan. The Yanks have been absolutely hot. It looks like the shaky Sox are walking into a buzzsaw. But hopefully Good triumphs over AJob.
spoken like a true Red Sox fan! at my son's school, there's a little boy who opens the door as a safety patrol for the cars that pull up and drop off the kids in the morning. at least once a week he wears a shirt that says, "I root for the Red Sox and whoever the Yankees are playing."
hey! i have a green st. patty's red sox cap with a shamrock on back...my son is constantly trying to wear it, despite the fact it's WAY too big for him. they now make Astros st. patty's caps...if i'd have known they were going to do that, i would have waited for that. SOMETIMES, it's cool to be irish
no..there's no hope. how long have you been watching baseball??? i could understand this sentiment in the NBA and maybe even the NFL. but in MLB? the trick is getting to the playoffs....from there, it's truly a game of inches.
