In 2021 his ear is at the bottom end of the '1' in the photo, but in 2023 his ear is clearly close to the middle of the '3'. Easily read as grown a foot.
Amen is a big dude. Can’t wait till he’s running point in the future. I saw Jalen standing next to Cam today at practice, noticeably smaller and Cam is 6’6 and the same size as assistant coach Ivey (6’4). We can put the Jalen is 6’6 talk to bed officially.
7'1??? Hahaha 6'9 all day but if that's what he is, thats it! If he's a beast, size shouldn't matter.
Important question for Rockets insiders: How much taller has Sengun gotten since the start of training camp?
I always find the sengun height criticism stupid. According to some folks a center needed to ba certain height to b successful, but if he's too tall, he's an injury waiting to happen. Goldilocks, not too short, not too tall. Some Folks were acting like sengun was a midget or something
Sengun ever so slightly larger then 6’8 shaved head Theis, this dude is 6’9 Smith is also 6’9 The end.
Post skill wise yes they are similar Scola was extremely crafty as well but Sengun has the higher ceiling of the two since he is already the top 3 playmaking center itl. Having such an edge as a center in 2023 makes you an invaluable asset. I'm not entirely sure that if he can ever be a 20-22 ppg kinda player however if he doesn't get injured and does improve on defense he will be more important for us than Scola ever was. We have 3 players on our team that were drafted top 5 and people want the team to play through the 16th overall pick which says sth to us. Listen fans find comfort in his arms they know they can count on him. He's like a shepherd. He's Joel to the Ellies. He's Jesus that got away from cruxifiction and returned to his people. He came to this world for one reason and one reason only which is to make people happy. I'm not saying this he himself said it multiple times. You can't not stop him spread his love. When he gets triple teamed and kicks the ball out to Jabari he's not just distributing the ball he's spreading love to others who are in need. Jabari misses 3 contested 3s sensei Sengun senses the darkness trying to consume Jabari, he doesn't feel good, his mood is ruined and he says i got this, gets the ball gets double tripled team by the demons surrounding Jabari. Demons let him be for a moment, he's finally free and when he gets the ball from Sengun he can finally make a 3 and defeat the evil. Kinda stuff. Point is he's important we should give him the ball.
The steals, blocks, and perimeter attack do not seem to correlate with this assessment. I can’t remember seeing Scola rip a rebound and dribble down the court for dimes. I also can’t remember Scola banging on guys like Alperen can. Hello Zach Collins. Motiejunas was way more Scola, and Sengun is much more explosive and unique.
