This is all you've got left to bash Sengun? Sad, just sad. You never get tired. It might make you feel good to know that, no matter what his height is, Sengun's tall enough to serve you the best Turkish tea you'll ever have tasted.
We're getting there. I think where we disagree is that I think because he has a longer neck and bigger hair style, it's giving him the illusion of being the same size as Jabari and you are saying it doesn't matter. I tend to look at a basketball player's shoulders, legs and arm length.
I don't feel Im bashing him. It's the truth. I see what I see. I said before that he's a good player. And besides, height shouldn't matter if you're good! Charles Barkley was a beast at 6'4. A HOF, so we will see. I think Sengun is solid, I just don't see him as great; Curry, Giannas, Hakeem or anyone like that but he's solid.
We’re not getting anywhere. There is no illusion at all. When they stand side by side, Alp is taller. That’s not an illusion. It might be in your mind, but in the real world height is easy to see when standing next to each other
Shoulder height isn’t height. There’s a picture right there for you to see hip height, shoulder height. And their wingspans are the exact same.
Let me ask you this. Why do you think basketball personnel; GMs, scouts, etc are more concerned with standing reach, rather than actual size and length? Its because everyone is not made the same.
I hear when they measure standing reach at the combine they allow long necked players to stand on an old phone book.
at the end of last season, the whole team had a meeting to discuss how they can consistently lie about their heights. They are really good!
See, this is actually a logical point. if you had said from the beginning that he is actually 6'11, however, he is at a disadvantage and effectively shorter vs a 6'11 player with more standard proportions, you would be correct. And this makes a lot more sense. But that's not what you've been arguing for the past 5 pages, you've been saying that he has a long neck therefore he's 6'9 which makes no sense.
It's good that Sengun is sub 6-10 - the lower center of gravity allows him to spin and change direction that the true 6-11, 6-12, 6-13 guys can't really deal with.
