Jokic, Doncic, and Sengun. Only one of them is not fat. That's the reason why Sengun will never be as good as them. You have to have a certain amount of body fat to be an MVP caliber Euro. :D

16 year old looked weighing like a 23 year old.... more like his gigantic behind twerking.

Baby fat doesn't count. Jokic and Doncic have real man fat.

Here is the ideal body type for a great Euro basketball player:

I don't know about that, doesn't look like Jokic is putting much energy into that dance

Don't let the lack of speed deceive you.

Something to say to those who still claim that Alperen Sengun doesn't play defense, or doesn't play hard.

Here are the NBA hustle stats for last season, for the Houston Rockets.

    https://www.nba.com/stats/players/hustle?PerMode=Totals&Season=2023-24&SeasonType=Regular Season&TeamID=1610612745&dir=D&sort=CONTESTED_SHOTS

    Sengun has

    - most screen assists
    - most screen assist points
    - second most deflections (behind FVV)
    - most loose balls recovered
    - second most charges drawn (behind Tate)
    - most contested shots

He is basically the best or second best Rockets player in all "hustle stats" listed.

And by the way, these are TOTALS (not "per game" stats), and he played a lot fewer games than some other players.

The translation of Sengun doesn’t play defense is ‘every now and then he can’t stop a lob pass’

You bet that the few times that happens in a game, it gets talked about EXTENSIVELY by those who still believe in that narrative.

I really want to outfit the team with great shooters around Sengun and Amen. Considering his notable athletic gifts, if Jalen becomes a consistent shooter, he can certainly slot in the lineup as well. But I feel like amen will be absolutely unstoppable in penetrating and scoring at the rim if he is given the correct spacing.

    Sengun/Adams
    Smith
    Cam/Tari
    All star 2 guars/Shepp
    Amen

For 25/26….. This allows Jalen to either rise to the position of efficient shooting guard that can start or trading him, FVV and picks for an upgrade. That is a 8 man group That we can supplement with the MLE.

Jalen has always shown more promise in terms of attacking defenses and getting to the rim.... When the defense is set in their half court defensive schemes.

Amen has shown the ability to attack back peddling defenders in transition or after someone like Green or Sengun collapse defenses. But he hasn't shown yet the ability to do things like navigate with a handle against set defenses without picking up the dribble. Hence why there still is a question mark if he's going to be played like a guard or a big/wing in the future.

If we are basing on meritocracy, Amen needs to show a lot more to deserve the benefit of the doubt you give him on offense. It's the opposite on the defensive end as Amen deserves all the praise and Jalen needs to show consistency a lot more on that end.

On offense Amen has shown these good traits against set half court defenses:

Quick and accurate decision maker in the short roll. Great attacker to the rim in the short roll. Great offensive rebounder and put back specialist.

He hasn't shown the things you claim relative to Jalen at least.
