I feel offended, but can't quite place why. I don't really have any problem with being compared to Mexico, and I'm proud of my state's heritage. But I guess I know it was meant to offend, so I'll take it that way. But also, has this guy ever been to Mexico? Because that's not what Houston looks like. Urban centers in Mexico look more like Europe than they do any American city like Houston. I suppose we have parts of town where many people speak Spanish and they have signs in Spanish. And I suppose that's as deep as his comparison was trying to go anyway.
