Maybe Rudy was recruiting him during the Olympics. With Mobley playing the 2 spot and Griffin playing th 3 spot, I don't see how this will work. Here's the link:

Maybe Houston could start at the SF postion until Griffin is ready to play 30 minutes a game in the NBA. Then Houston could move to the starting SG and make Mobley the sixth man, providing instant offense off of the bench, something that the Rockets will desperatly need next year.

Houston is good but we just dont need him. I would take him over Mobley but Mobley is fine at the 2G, no need to clog the 2/3 position further. If its not a post player there is just no room. The exception is Finley though, he is a superstar.

I think reallistically, a team only needs 3 scoring options. Is Griffin willing to be the 4th option on this team ?

No. I would rather have Mobley than Houston. Houston has a sweet jumper - but that's it.

Enough with this moving Mobley to the bench non-sense. Mobley is a play-maker, and unless you have a strong desire to lose games, you do not move playmakers to the bench. No way, no how.

Wow - the list includes all the teams with any sort of cap room this summer. Big shock. Houston is using the Rockets as leverage. End of story.

He doesn't know the meaning of DEFENSE. He has never averaged a steal a game. That sucks. Not to mention his 0.2 blocks. At 6-6 he should be able to block someone.

    No thanks.

Now why would the Rockets even want Houston? I admit that he's a terrific shooter, but that's about it. Cuttino averaged just about the same numbers and seemed to be more"clutch" than Allan. Cuttino is a leader, Allan is a follower to Sprewell. The Rockets need to keep their leaders in Mobes, Francis, and possibly Olajuwon to keep improving.

    Ask yourself this question:

If I ran the Rockets and I decided to spend a boatload of money on a 2001 FA (likely limiting or eliminating my chances of signing Dream, Mo, and Moochie), would I rather have Webber or Houston?

He will just clog our salary cap. We don't need him, Mobley is more all around player that Houston, It's the truth!
