Just read a great article about the Dodgers selling tickets that give you "all you can eat" access to the food stands. I think it says tickets are around $40 but you get unlimited soda, hotdogs, nachos, etc. This sounds like a pretty cool idea.

Seems like it go well in a fat city like Houston and could attract a few more people each game

I work at a restaraunt and it seems like most people aren't getting value when they order an all you can eat dinner. I guess people just think they're hungrier than they normally are. I'd imagine this is the case in this instance as well. This is just a random guess, but these people are probably getting the cheapest seats in the house for $40. I know concessions are expensive at ballgames, but I can't really see this being a great value...I mean let's say they get $10 tickets, is one person really going to normally eat/drink $30 in food (beer not included)?

    let's assume:

    1 drink = $4
    1 super dog = $8
    1 nachos = $8
    1 pizza = $6

i could see myself having a drink every other inning, so let's say 4 drinks...total $16

over the course of the game, i could eat 1 super dog, 1 nacho, and 1 pizza....total $22

that's already $38. i would definitely do this deal.

I think I read that those tickets usually sell for 6 to 8 bucks, so yeah, they are one of the cheaper ticket prices. I think it's probably a good deal, but not quite a "steal." Still, I'd do it just for the sake of being able to get what I want, when I want it.

What if a group of people buys one all-you-can-eat ticket and then one person gets food for the whole group?

At a dodger game I could easily eat and drink $30 worth of concessions. I love dodger dogs, and would happily eat at least two of them. Two sodas as well puts me close to the $30, then throw in nachos, or popcorn, or peanuts or anything else and I have gotten my money's worth.
