If you could make a line up comprised of Houston players of any era, who would be the starting five and the sixth man?

PG - John Lucas - drug problems asside he was the perfect point guard
SG - Steve Francis - Maybe the most dynamic player to ever were a Rockets uniform
SF - Clyde Drexler - He could pass, shoot, drive and play D at a hall of fame level.
PF - Elvin Hayes - Maybe a better shot blocker than Dream!
C - Hakeem the Dream - greatest shot blocker and center of all time.

6th man - Moses Malone - 2nd greatest center of all time!!!!

Maybe we should see what some fans of other NBA teams could come up with for their greatest line up and sixth man.

Anyone up to making a team to compete with the Rockets?

    76-ers
    C- Wilt
    PF - Moses Malone
    SF - Barkley
    SG - Dr. J
    PG - Iverson

6th/7th men: Mo Cheeks, Bobby Jones

I don't think anyone could compare to the Lakers/Celtics teams though. They were loaded for a few generations!

Crash, that is a sick, SICK line-up. I'd probably just trade Calvin Murphy for Lucas and put Steve at the point, but that's basically it. That puts 5 hall-of-famer's in the line-up and one potential in Francis.

I think someone forgot Jerry West! IMO, LA Lakers, best team of all time had West, Baylor, Chamberlain, won 33 games in a row, had best winning % in a season until Bulls broke it at the expenses of a much weaker league. Does any one know who the other two Laker starters were? FREDTERP

So who are you going to put West ahead of? Magic, the greatest point guard of all time? Kobe? Maybe the best 2 guard since MJ. West was great though and I origanally had him teamed with Magic but I just think Kobe is better.

Yes. I wouldn't even have to think about that one.

Kobe? Better than West? Maybe if he plays at his current pace for 15 more years. But as of now, he couldn't wear Jerry's jock.

Nate was not a SG. Sam Jones was, and should be on any Celtic All-Time team.

As for 6th man, how could you leave off possibly the greatest 6th man in the history of the NBA, John "Hondo" Havlicek?

I left off Havlicek because of how effective and great Walton was as a 6th man in 86. I hated big red that year because of how good he was perticularly in the finals. But in retrospect maybe I would have made the backcourt Nate and Hondo or maybe Cousy and John or maybe Sam and...oh what does it matter they were all great.
