All this talk about LeBron is stupid. Let LeBron go where he wants to go. He needs the Rockets more than the Rockets need him. Honestly, I'm not ready to blow the team with the best record up. This team was a few whistles away from an NBA title. We're gonna blow it up for a chance at two or three years with LeBron? I get why people want to. I like LeBron. I really do. But LeBron's best move is to stay in Cleveland and cement his legacy or go to Philly. This team needs to focus on keeping the guys we have. Keep Capela, keep Paul, keep Luc and Gerald Green, etc. Why blow it up? We don't need a super team. Harden and Paul are enough, as long as Paul can keep showing Harden how to stay out of the clubs.
Because: A. Championships dont come every day, or decade for that matter. B. If you can win, you do all you can and care about rest latter. C. If he wants to come and our recruiting helps that, sure why not? D. He is best player why would you not want to add him. E. Warriors with their constant winning can swing some really good FA's on cheap, they can add, you dont think we need to add? We might have lost in 7, but they're young and can still get better there's not telling if we can get them to 7 agai.
They didn’t have Iggy either and we won’t get the calls next post season either Bron gets us two to three championships. Of course, it’s mutually beneficial for both parties. This would be the biggest get in Rockets history
Because we got a Juggernaut team in our way that's not been seen since Jordan Bulls! You go all in or you Don't! We can't waste Harden's prime trying to be cute! Year 2 with CP3 suppose to be "the" year anyways to go for the chip! the 2016 overpaid contracts need to be handled!
losing a couple of role players in an opt-in and trade for Lebron is not blowing up the roster... Look, I’m gonna have to be real about our series against GS. Aside from game 2, our other victories were by 3 and 4 points. They were essentially toss up games that either team could’ve won. That game 4 win after starting the game down 12-0 and being down 12 in the 4th at Oracle was damn near a miracle. GS won all of their games by at least 9 points. Yes, we could’ve beaten them this year with CP3 healthy and if the refs weren’t on that bullsh*t, but the key word is this year. Who’s to say GS doesn’t win those close games next year instead of us? CP3 is aging and his health can not be trusted. He’ll magically make it through next year’s playoffs without suffering some sort of injury? I heavily doubt it. Also, GS is gonna try and fortify their roster even more and come up with ways to better combat our team. I am not in favor of just bringing everyone back and rolling with pretty much this same team.
Because the margin of error against the Warriors with our current lineup is so thin. We need to increase a margin of safety as much as we can and Lebron gives us the best chance to do so. Also LeBron gives us insurance for the inevitability of when Paul gets hurt and keeps him healthy for the postseason.
Alright I get this, but always gonna mention Luc, if we are COMPLETELY healthy than I believe we win. There Iggy thing is just a bunch of BS they say to save face. Also our team should want the best player available in free agency.
LeBron doesn't need Rockets. What do you think is better for him, stat padding on Cavs to become #1 all time leading scorer while having an excuse for losing or joining the Rockets, giving up his minutes/stats and getting crucified if he fails to win then? LeBron has always done what's the best for him in free agency so I kinda expect him to stay in low risk, low reward Cleveland. No reason for him to go to high risk, high reward situation like Rockets at this point.
Ya, I am tired of all the Iggy stuff. LRMAM not being healthy was huge for us. We could get by the T-Wolves and Jazz of the world without him but we needed him for the Warriors. I mean wasn't he signed, specifically, to help us against the Warriors? Then we play them and dude is not healthy so that really hurt our depth which also meant our starters had to play longer and this caused tired legs which caused 0 for 27. We were very, very good but ultimately came up short. There were many reasons for that and they have been discussed at nauseam but when you have the opportunity to add LeBron, you should go for it. If you give up some people to get LeBron, you have to look at and evaluate the roster compared to this past year's. If the evaluation says that your roster is stronger, it can hardly be considered that you "blew up" the team.
They had Kyrie Irving and good assets, multiple other #1 draft picks. He would stay in Miami if they could provide him better teammates, but Cavs gave him better teammates and good story line so it was a no-brainer.
I can't even take this post that seriously or as objective opinion because I know how much @Reeko thirsts after Lebron. Reeko would say anything to persuade us if it means Bron is going to be a Rocket. Reeko LeThirsty, LeCompromised. Furthermore, all "margin of victory" arguments are trash arguments!!! Throw them away in LeBin!
Because the Warriors will get better next year. That’s what they do. They will get some vet desperate for a ring to go there and our guys will only get older. Paul needs help and Harden isn’t going to magically get better. We need to look ahead of just beating the Warriors but also beating the Celtics.
