THIS is basically our game 7 and the rockets need to do everything possible to pull this game out!!!

    Enough with the Negativity

I'm pissed as the rest of y'all. I'm pissed that we had a lead in the 4th and we let Portland go on a run. I'm pissed that we took terrible shots. I'm pissed that we couldn't take care of the ball. I'm pissed that Yao got a lot of single coverage he couldn't capitalize on. I'm pissed that Scola couldn't stay out of foul trouble. And most of all I'm pissed that Portland outhustled us.

Portland came out hungry fighting for their lives and we failed to match their intensity. Its time to move on to the next game.

Its time now though to let go of the hate. Quit blaming individual players. Quit blaming the coach. This was a team loss. The team though is the team that we have in the here and now. We aren't making any trades between now and the next game. Yao isn't leaving to go to the Lakers by the next game. Deke isn't going to be miraculously cured by the next game. JVG isn't going to come back and coach the next game neither is Phil Jackson. The team is what it is and we stand by it or go root for someone else.

i dont mind a couple of moronic threads bc flaming these people puts me back in a good mood lol but the kneejerk reactions are a little excessive but i can kinda understand, 2 of the past 3 series the rockets have let us down after lifting our expectations so high

good thread...we need this to calm down and get ready for the win in game 6 and be there to support our rockets...aaron brroks did have a horrible game...not because the shots he missed but because of all the missed passes to yao but anyways we need to regroup and its a must one on thursday. lets finish this off!!!!

Some fans just can't handle losing. It's not the end of the world. I mean it's a road game with the Blazers back against the wall trying desperately to win. Rockets were able to keep it a competitive game and will probably win it at home on Thursday.

    Some people need to chill...

    Going into tonight:

When leading 3-1 and playing game five on the road in the NBA playoffs, the team leading the series wins game five only 29% of the team.

Since the conference quarterfinals moved to seven games in the NBA, the road team has won zero game fives when leading the series 3-1. The Mavs were the first to do so, tonight

Yeh, if you've watched enough playoff basketball, seeing how close games 2,3, and 4 were, you just knew that Portland would take this game. I knew if the Rockets didn't come out with a big lead early in the game that they wouldn't win this. So in a way I was prepared for the Rocks to lose. It does piss me off that they had a chance to finally close a series and screwed it up.

But I expect them win game 6. If not then I'm going to throw my laptop at the tv screen.

I think momentum might be the most over rated thing in sports. I think it's important, but not as big as people make it out to be. Just because the Blazers got a big win at home (Which they were supposed to do, they are th 4th seed, they should take care of business at home,) does not mean that they are all of the sudden unbeatable.

Don't underestimate playing in your own stadium.

I don't think momentum is something that carries over to the next game. Play by play yeah but not game by game.

like some other posters have mentioned, its just the way we lost it in the 4th. we had a chance.

I am confident the Rockets will be ready to roll on Thursday night.
