Or, just take em' in college. They're usually easy classes you get an A in by just reading the book. Boost that GPA. AP credits wont count towards your GPA. You're gonna wind up making rookie mistakes, getting stuck in the hard classes, probably some random lab taught by someone on a power trip and have to drop classes or deal with academic suspension. Suckers.

I have the chance to go into my freshman year with 39 credits if I ace the rest of my AP exams.
    I have 15 already.

I'm more worried about money than GPA.
But that's just me. If money weren't an issue I would not give a damn about AP testing.

Yes they do or at least they did when I went to school at UT. 5 is usually an A except sometimes you have to take a 2nd test to determine the grade. Calculus, Physics, and Chemistry are harder in college, but it isn't as hard to get a 5 on those tests. English, History, Government, etc are pointless classes anyways. Even if you don't get a 5 you can at least get credit for the class. It saves you some money as well.

They don't convert 5's and other pee-pee numbers into real grades at finer institutions such as Texas A&M University (SEC).

This is sound advice. I wish I had figured this out before doing all the tests and going into college as a sophomore- at my undergrad they didn't count as grades and it was just losing an opportunity for easy A's. They changed the rule my junior year on 1 or 2 classes, so my senior year I had to take those 2 pre-rec classes, and it was a joke. Consider not claiming some of those credits, you'll be glad later you did.

You will have classmates of your who have a higher GPA but may be just as smart as you because they didn't have the APs to claim and got the free A.

Also, I'm not sure if you're trolling, but APs are hardly the peak of stress in your career. Life is waaay harder than that. Good luck though

Never took AP courses, I took dual credit senior year though (wish I would have taken jr year as well). Anyway I entered College with 12 credits to my name, and graduated in 3 years. My advice, dont skip class, pay attention to your professor, take good notes, and most importantly read the book. I fcked up bad my freshman year because college was an awesomely new experience. It was anyway until my GPA showed up... Anyway, I transfered to a less distracting school and graduated 2 years afterwards (no semesters off, summer included). You seem like a bright kid RR, so I have full faith in you succeeding in college.

This really had nothing to do with AP Exams or w/e but Im getting old and I like telling stories.

I took AP Human Geography, AP Calculus, & AP US History.

Did not study for any of them. Did not realize people did. I did not pass APUSH, but made an A in college, and it was amongst my favorite classes in college, so I deem it to have been fate.

I was amazed I passed Calculus, since it turned out my calculator was broken, so I had to do everything by hand.

They gave me credit for Biology for my Human Geography grade. I have no idea how that happened, but I won't complain. I still took Geology in college to replace the Biology in case it was ever figured out.
