Just felt like doin some statistical research and decided to see who performs the best against him. I only included games in which Bowen and the star gaurd played over 30 minutes, or if they played under 30 minutes they have to be within 3 minutes of each other, what this does is eliminate alot of games in which lets say Kobe went nuts and scored 40 and limited Bowen to only 20 minutes due to his ineffectiveness. Some of you might not agree with this but I did it to see how players perform when Bowen is at his best.

The 2nd criteria I set is that I only started counting games when Bowen became an all league defender (he made 2nd team all defense when he played for the Miami Heat.)

This is just for fun, not really tryin to prove a point but you gotta admit you cant be too happy with Tmacs performance.

I'll take those stats because out of those 94 games does anybody remember 93 of them. I know any fan will never forget the remarkable 13 in 35 which was in Bowen's grill countless times. So those other players can have their numbers, me i'll take the NBa history, which was on National TV might I add

I honestly thought you were talking about Ryan Bowen, but I couldn't imagine him playing so many minutes in so many games.

From those numbers you can't tell with confidence who did the best against Bowen, because we don't know how often they were actually matched up against him. For instance, Iverson has put up some big numbers apparently, but does Bowen really guard him for extended minutes?

Speaks a lot more towards SA's team defense than Bowen, IMO.

This isn't very logical. How can you disregard games when the star player abused Bowen on the basis that Bowen wasn't "at his best." It's still part of the sample size - he got abused for a reason that night. You would have to disregard all games where the star player scored in single digits then too because he obviously wasn't at his best, using this same logic.

Since when did a clutchfan need logic. Besides however illogical as it seems, it supports his argument argument and is now man law.

i don't think he was ever put on iverson, but iverson would be the best. paul pierce looks like the worst to me. low shooting %'s kill him, plus he has the 3rd lowest ppg in the group.

    LOL.

You know even without Bonzi, our games against San Antonio are going to be so much more interesting this year with the new mix of players. When we spread the floor with Battier, it forces San Antonio to either go small or they have to bring one of their big men out of the paint and guard him. It will also be interesting to see how we do defensively against their backcourt penetration. If we can stop a lot of the penetration from Tony and Manu and make them jump shooters, their efficiency goes in the toilet. Forget about Duncan on Battier. He could score 40. But if Tony and Manu are standing around, then their shooting percentage goes even lower than it usually is.

I really think San Antonio has reached it's zenith as a team. I think they will still be very good for the next 2 or 3 years but not as good as the year before and 2 years before that. I think they are on the downside.

Actually all of these stats are flawed, and it's from this.

Iverson lit up the Spurs in the 1st half this past season, after halftime, they put Bowen on Iverson and he held him to 0 pts in the 3rd quarter, and 6 in the 4th quarter. yet the full game will be held against Bowen. So all of these could be proved wrong or flawed.
