I really think Biggio deserves it the way he is playing. If I don't vote for Doggy and LB then I will probably vote for scrub OF's I would rather add to a total for someone who doesn't have a chance to make it than to vote for 2 guys that may edge out Craig.
Every self-respecting Houston fan should be voting for Biggio. What an amazing thing that would be, Biggio starting an all-star game at his third position...at home.

Well my wife and I filled out 125 ballots at the Wed game last week, thats a bit over the 25 online ones.
I don't think there is any way Biggio makes the team. In terms of NL outfielders, Bonds, Dunn, Craig Wilson, and Miguel Cabrera are having statistically superior seasons than Biggio. Berkman and Craig Wilson have slightly better stats as well. When you factor in the Pirates having to have a representative, Wilson is almost a lock. Sammy Sosa and Albert Pujols aren't having typical years for them, but the fans will most likely give them a lot of votes. It's going to be a tough year for Biggio to make it.
Pujols is 1B, not OF Biggio is the best NL CF thus far, if he conintues this, he will be in the game, no doubt
If Biggio keeps up this pace, there is NO DOUBT that he will find his way onto this team. Even if the game wasn't in Houston, he'd be a lock... the fact that its here, and this is one of the final years of a historic Astros career, makes it even more likely that he makes it. Out of all the guys you mentioned above, only Bonds would have a clear path to the game ahead of Biggio. When its all said and done, the Astros will probably get 2-3 all stars, but that's about it... Clemens and Biggio look solid right now. Bagwell, Berkman, and Wade are on the bubble. Hidalgo, Kent, and Roy, while solid, just won't have the best numbers to make it. Man... the way this team is rolling, I'd take my chances with the Astros team themselves vs. the American League All-stars in that game. Hell... I have no doubt that we could win such a game.
Bidge needs to have a nice series against the Marlins to impress McKeon in case he doesn't get voted in. He hit a homer last night; so far, so good. Plus, McKeon is an old-school guy, so maybe he'll give a grinder like Biggio the benefit of the doubt if it's close.

He's been great for us, and answered all the doubters questions about our "biggest weakness" when we traded Wagner... but he might not have the numbers to stack up against some of the other NL closers. For this year (so far): 1. Eric Gagne 2. Armando Benitez 3. Billy Wagner 4. Octavio Dotel 5. John Smoltz The most closers an all-star team has taken has been 3, and they did that last year with Smoltz, Gagne, and Wagner. You can bank on McKeon taking HIS guy in Benitez. Chances are the Astros will have too many representatives to start giving a spot to everyone who's "deserving." Its fun being on a good team...
Seems like he's had relatively few save opportunities this so far, especially for a team with 21 wins already.
That's because the offense has been so good. Last night was a perfect example. He was warming up in the 8th, with Lidge on the mound and a 2-1 lead. Then the Astros score 4 more, making Dotel unnecessary and available for the last two games of the series.
Especially the late inning offense. From the 7th inning on, the 'Stros are hitting .298 as a team & have outscored opponents 74-43. In "close & late" situations, they're batting .343.
