Top vote getters, but unfortunately Yao won't start.

T-Mac was also just on TNT. He was being interviewed from his home. You could see his indoor basketball court in the background.

Yes! T-Mac deserves it, I like the fact that he gave props to Nash, that was classy.

I wish Yao was there to represent the 'MacMing Dynasty' in full force, but I am sure T-Mac will represent the Rockets well in Vegas.

    Yah baby!

I love T-Mac but Nash should be starting over him. Nash is playing even better than the last two years and his team is arguably the best in the league.

But hey, whatever - congrats T-Mac.

Does anyone know what the final tally was? I want to see how many votes each of the starters got, and who else almost made it.

Whew. T-Mac made it. I was really worried there for a while that he would lose the spot to Iverson.

Welcome to the West Iverson :) Yao Ming decides votes here.

However, I wish both Yao and Mac could stay out of this game. Yao is out, but Mac will play... It's not just the game... They have to be there the entire weekend and play the game, so there's no relaxation time...

For someone with T-Mac's back problems, anything could be a trigger... Stress, playing, NOT playing (Getting cold), playing inconsistently, walking around too much, flying too much...

I will murder David Stern if T-Mac gets one scratch on his body during the break.

Umm...no! There is no such thing as 'should', McGrady is no less a player than Nash.

You could make that argument about any of those starters, but the fans wanted T-Mac, Kobe over the rest and that's what they got. It's not like they 'settled' for less; these two are arguably the best swingmen in the West.

When will people accept that the All Star game is not about who the best players are but about who the fans love watching most?

Come on people. At least take five seconds to LOOK at the forum and see if a thread has already been started on the topic. IBTL.

Congratulations everyone and China for continuing to vote for T-Mac, we pulled it off nicely.

T-Mac's final lead over Iverson is more than 100,000 votes, as compared to the 30,000 vote lead after 4th returns!

T-Mac would have been there anyway, he's throwing a party with Diddy in Las Vegas. It's not really that stressful of an event when you are hanging out at parties and taking photos with the best basketball players in the world.

Good thing he got the starting spot, i dont think he would make the reserves. He sure would look foolish throwing a party he had planned long ago for the ASG and then not being able to play in it.
