For a couple of games there, Francis and Mobley seemed to have been embarrassed by the video clips ESPN kept showing of them failing to give the ball to an open Yao. They started passing and racking up assists.

Maybe we need another dose of shame -- this time, in the all-star game.

Please, Yao, don't go for the jams and fadeaways in this game. Put on a display of passing that will leave the whole NBA asking why the Rockets don't run the ball through you more often. Then maybe our guards will be embarrassed into doing what they should have been doing all along.

It's obvious you're too humble to go to the press with this complaint. Well, this is your chance to make the point as clearly and gently as possible. Show 'em your stuff. Pass, and ye shall receive.

    Will,

Well said...and I think he will continue doing what he does best, and does well: play within himself and take what the offense gives him.

I think one of primary qualities that is endearing him to the league, and the whole world, is his approach to the game that is almost "anti-NBA. " Pass first, don't complain, support your teammates, smile, don't force shots, remain humble, learn from your mistakes, and focus on we instead of me. He reminds me of Bird, he's just not quite as NBA- ready (in terms of endurance) and his touches and involvement are much more constrained. Sometimes he must feel like he is still playing with the Chinese National guards...but you'll never hear him complain.

Having spent some time in China, his values and demeanor appear so representative of his culture. He is a great kid, who will be league MVP one day, and is just what David Stern needs to raise the integrity and image of the NBA.

I'd hate to open another thread, and though my question isn't related to the topic, I thought I'd just take second of your time to ask....How many hours from this post does the All Star game start? Can't seem to get the time difference right.

Again, sorry Will. you'd have to lock my thread anyway if i staretd a new one, so I thought this would be quicker....
