http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=1841458 HOUSTON -- The NBA All-Star game is coming to Houston in 2006, city officials said Friday. "It's a firm deal for '06," Jordy Tollett, president of the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, said in Friday's online editions of the Houston Chronicle. "It is my understanding that the Rockets, George R. Brown Convention Center and the NBA have come to an agreement." The story was also reported on Houston television station KRIV, but was not immediately confirmed by the NBA. The reports said the NBA has already reached agreements with hotels that will be used for the event. Stan Skadal, senior director of sales and marketing for the Hyatt Regency Downtown, said he's received a contract from the league. "We are reviewing it now," Skadal told KRIV. "It's a formality. I'll be signing it on Monday." Skadal did not immediately return a message left by The Associated Press. No one answered the phone at the convention and visitors bureau on Friday night. The game and related events are scheduled for Feb. 16-20, 2006 at the Toyota Center. The event was last in Houston in 1989 at the Astrodome. The city hosted Major League Baseball's All-Star game earlier this week and the Super Bowl in January. ITS FINALY OFFICAL!
