Since we have built Reliant, Minute Maid and the Toyota Center, we have gotten: The Super Bowl MLB All Star Game NBA All Star Game Big 12 Basketball Tourney several large conventions world class soccer matches HBO Boxing matches And, we have been put on the list of quite a few major concert tours now that Toyota Center is open (tours that passed up Houston when it was just Compaq Center). Nice.
Not sure....try Ticketmaster.com or 1-800-4NBA-TIX. I'm sure you'll be able to get some nose-bleed seat for $50.00 to $100.00. Court side are thousands!
I think this is a good thing. You know Yao and Mc Grady will host. Whoever the Rockets get, the league will want them to be successful.
respek due, and fully, on my part, accorded. i've thanked you before for your efforts saving our Rockets. i'll take this opportunity to again thank you & all the folks with Texas size vision!
How does one go about getting tickets for an event like this? I mean are these tickets able to be purchased by the common man or do you have to have 'a connection'?? I am so stoked about this!! Billions dollars of 'tourist tax money' spent!!
Let's at least be fair. About $15 million of the money for Minute Maid and about $100 million of the money for Reliant Stadium didn't come straight from tourist taxes. But, the remaining $885 or so million came either from tourist taxes or from the owners of the franchises. I just think it goes to show that all of the doom and gloom about how no one would EVER want to go downtown to see a ballgame or to go to a club or whatever was just utter nonsense. And, given that property values have increased something like 200 times since the passing of the first stadium referendum in 1996, I'd say it wasn't a bad investment.
