Anyone hyped about this? OperationSports.com has HD videos to download in their Forum. Im not a fan of the way Madden plays, even though this isnt official NFL license Im all about the game play. Plus I have a friend who is just as hyped as me who plays with me on LIVE. It'd be cool if us here at CC could get a league started when this game releases.
saw a few screenshots of 2k8 and the models looked pretty goofy to me. While I liked the way 2k5 looked, wasn't a fan of the game itself. I think a lot of people are going to be dissappointed with 2k8, but we'll see.
All the previews I have read except for Operation Sports have been pretty negative on the game. Animations, no franchise mode, terrible models were the biggest gripes. Ironically, all the previews of this year's Madden have been positive. People are all saying that competition has made EA step their game up. We will see once the games are released.
$59.99 from GameStop. That's a disapointment. I'm sorry but if I can't take control of Mario Williams(Watch out for Tinman!!!) I'm not going to dish out that kind of money. That really sucks cause sega always put out a great game. I picked up the first couple 2ks on Dreamcast. I think I had 2...I know one of them had Moss on the cover. Ey, how memory goes...

There wont be much of a disparity in game play this year between Madden and NFL 2K8...throw in the better graphics, more in-depth game modes, and real players and teams and Madden wins.
Very interesting football game here. Maybe they've done it already on the past Maddens but the FULL inclusion of NFL legends is darn cool (not no RB #34 on with 97 speed on '85 Chicago who you have to guess is Walter Payton). Stupid NFL and their exclusive license with EA .....Still, the animations and player models look fine to me. If they include some good gameplay they might have something here. Already wondering what they can do for an encore, though. Cant keep bringing back the same players. So they'll keep adding new legends probably (Btw, how the heck they come up with the current player list. Andre Ware and Merrill Hoge?) Please let us know how the game plays. Might purchase it later if its any good to spite EA.
I think the average game player wants to run around the field with Vick, VY etc. Not a bunch of made up guys. This game might do okay, but I don't think the average person is gonna pay $50-$60 for it. I barely played last year's Madden. I think I'm gonna take a break from buying any more sports games this year. I thought last year's NCAA Football was almost perfect and really want to keep my dynasty going so no point in buying a new game.
I wonder if you can edit the teams and uniforms like Winning Eleven? I remeber they had the same problem but the edit functions let you replicate each team.
Well, they're retired legends, not made up players. I could see people wanting to play with Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, and Walter Payton.
A lot of the player skills in this game remind me of Front Office Football. Anyone here ever play that game?
