New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets 93 Kings 67 Goodness, I love when I'm right. I remember BSS. (Before Stromile Swift) , All you SAR fans were jumping up and down and begging Caroll Dawson to deliver you SAR like he was the answer to world peace. Tinman Told you so: 1. SAR loses on every team he has been on 2. He's gets lots of stats because he's selfish ( Oh crying, Zach Randolph is better than me! boo hoo!) 3. Bibby and SAR dont work well.. see Vancouver Grizzles (SAR fan please look at your history of NBA books for this franchise. TinMan 1, SAR fan -1.
Funny thread. If the Kings flame out this year, I won't blame SAR necessarily. One thing I will blame already is Adelman's teams don't play defense. If form holds, Yao will have a big game tomorrow.
heh, i totally forgot that Bibby and Abdul-Rahim were teammates in Vancover, wonder if Dickerson would come out of retirement
Although I agree with you that SAR was not the right player for Rockets......................you're an idiot
It's the 1st game of 2005-06...for some inexplicable reason, the Kings flew into OKC this afternoon...waaaayyyy to draw a conclusion but but the Kings' beautiful ball movement was non-existent. 13 assists for 25 made FG's is a pitiful. It'll be interesting to see if this was an abberation or whether SAR in the low block really does distract from the Princeton offense. Guess we'll all have a (slightly) better idea in 24 hours.
Their offense has been exposed by the departure of Vlade and C-Webb. Without those guys creating open looks and layups for the perimeter guys, their offense is nowhere near the same. I mean you can't take away two of the best passing big men in the league, in an offense that's run so much at the high post and not expect a big dropoff. They're not as bad as this game would indicate (they missed a lot of open jumpers), but they're a middling (possibly borderline) playoff team. And a team that we should really stomp tomorrow.
What is that I hear? Did tinman just praise Chris "Michigan Forward" Webber. Well will wonders never cease.
I totally agree. It doesn't help that Bonzi is not the spot up shooter that Mobley /Christie were and that Peja has fallen off. They definitely are going to have to find a different approach to the offense or Adelman will have to reign in the knuckleheads. I don't really see either being all that realistic.
So quick to judge... But you're right, SAR loses on every team he's been on. I forgot how much success the Vancouver Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks have always been.
Isn't SAR the only player that played worth a damn tonight? 7-13 14pts 8rebs 1blk 1stl 1ast 0to in 31 minutes. That is pretty good if you ask me. The rest of the team combined to go 18-67 from the field and 18to to 12ast. This game is less an indictment of SAR and more an embarassment of every other person on the Kings. Skinner was so-so in limited time, but this game was a travishamockery. I hope the Kings don't get so fired up by the blowout that they pull out a victory against the Rox. PJ Brown did soundly outplay SAR though.
