We are finally getting the recognition and respect we deserve from the media and most of them labled us as contenders to win the championship. While this may be a good thing as far as letting the people know that we're actually a great team and a moral boost for the players...but can it also affect the mentality of of the team in a negative way? Maybe getting too over confident and getting caught up with all of the media hype? I really hope that none of these distraction will get into their head and will continue to play hard. I believe one of the reason why they're playing so well besides the trades/chemistry and such was b/c no one belived in them and they would use that as motivation. Don't get me wrong, I think its great that they're getting a lot of respect and attention, but sometimes being the underdog could get you very far also. It has been proven in the football franchise with the Patriots defeats of the Rams, or even the first title run of the Rockets in the Hakeem era and most recently, last years Piston's run. None of these team rarely got the respect they deserve until they acutally won the championship, thats how it should be. After all, Magics fan know very well what happen after T-Mac got over confidence in the 1st round playoff against the Pistion a couple of years ago. What do you guys think?

Don't think JVG will allow his team to get over their head. Remember, we are a veteran team, not a young team.

BTW, we are still underdogs to the Kings, Sonics, Suns, Spurs, and the Heat.

If Juwan didn't go down, I would have had the same concern. Now that a valuable starting member is out that long, it will definitely keep the players motivated and not over-confident. Actually, if Juwan can come back 100% in time, Rockets will be guranteed to peak right in the playoff. So it can be a blessing in disguise.

BTW, shouldn't you change the last line of your signuature considering the current situation. :)
