Without injury Yao would of definitely been 1st team ALL-NBA but now I dont know what to think.

And with Tracy, obviously as a Rockets I have some sort of bias and believe he should be a 1st teamer but most likely that wont happen IMHO, so 2nd team?

Where do you think they will be?

first team would be Kobe and Nash regardless.
Second team would probably be Arenas and Tmac. Just a guess

T-Mac will probably be second team, maybe third knowing the media.

Yao should have been first without injury, he might slip to third as well (behind Shaq and Amare).

I think Yao should still get for 1st All-NBA, no center in the league has the same numbers he has.

He's better than other candidates, if he doesn't media f{*$kers are full of it.

Shaq won it last year, and only played 50 something odd games.

T-Mac probably 2nd or 3rd, behind Kobe and maybe Wade. His only other competition is Redd and Allen, but their teams suck and they are not as good as McGrady.

If ROCKETS can have 50+ win and YAO keep his numbers around 24 PPG, 9-10 rbs, COUPLE of ast and blks, HE WILL be first team, no doubt about it.
Tmac... 2nd team is a lock

in all seriousness though they will both probably be 3rd teamers even though they are better than that.

Yao will be behind either Tim Duncan(he has played most of his minutes at center this year)/Shaq(just because they HAND the award to him every year) and Amare. Shaq im not sure if he will qualify because he missed even more games than Yao but it still is shaq and they jump all over his d*ck for him. Amare has played great this year and will probably be 2nd team.

T-Mac was a 3rd teamer back in 04-05 so i guess he will be again this year too. 5th best gaurd behind nash, gilbert, wade, and kobe. Remember this is all a popularity contest anyway. Unless tracy can get on the 2nd team as a Small Forward i dont see how he will make 2nd team. also you have to take in michael redd, ray allen, joe johnson, vince carter. lebron, paul pierce, and carmelo are forwards so i dont think he can make the SF especially since he hasnt really played that many minutes at SF.

I wouldn't be surprised to see people leave Yao off the list completely cause of his injury.

i forgot about iverson too also as a reminder i am not saying that any of these players are better than t-mac or deserve the team just that these are some ppl that are receiving consideration. redd and iverson have only played 47 games though which is about 10 less than t mac and wade has played 45 and likely no more.

    First Team:

    G Steve Nash
    G Kobe Bryant
    F Lebron James
    F Dirk Nowitzki
    C Amare Stoudamire

    2nd Team:

    G Allen Iverson
    G Tracy McGrady
    F Carmelo Anthony
    F Tim Duncan
    C Yao Ming

    3rd Team:

    G Gilbert Arenas
    G Dwyane Wade
    F Kevin Garnett
    F Carlos Boozer
    C Dwight Howard

I'm thinking something like that as of now, but of course subject to change quite a bit.

Kobe, T-Mac, and Lebron will be up for 2 positions. Kobe has the numbers and that 65pt game is a big help, but his team's record isn't 1st Team Status. That case could've been said for T-Mac in 03 and 04, but the level he was playing at was far superior to anyone else at that position. All 3 has equal impact for their respective teams. Kobe has been the most consistent of the bunch, so I'll give him the SG slot. T-Mac has led his team to improbable victories without Yao and has kept a team in contention that everyone left for dead. Lebron has been criticized for his non-clutch play but has stepped it up this month. I may be biased but my reason for T-Mac on the 1st Team is legit and can't be disputed. He's has a team that has been repeatedly hit by injuries in contention in a far tougher conference and still has a better record (though slightly) than Lebron. And Cleveland at times has looked more impressive without him. The same can never be said for McGrady.

tmac will most likely be 2nd team b/c first team is nash and kobe for sure.

tmac will be 4th or 5th in MVP voting so most likely he'll be 2nd team.

yao should be first but amare has done it the whole yr so most likely him. yao will be 2nd for sure.

both can be first if they didn't miss any time and tmac didn't have his bad start.

the fact is..Yao would probably go off the list. They'll Duncan, Shaq, Amare, and even Dwight Howard in front of him, since the media just hates Yao.
