It's the first round of the All NBA Draft Part 2! For this draft we used a $75 million hard cap. Production estimates for each player are based on their 2010-2011 seasons. All players are considered to be healthy, but age, accumulation of injuries, or serious injuries are accounted for. So, for example, Greg Oden is to be considered healthy but his injury history is to be respected.

This matchup pits RowdyRicky against AFS

    RowdyRicky
    PG-Derrick Rose/Eric Bledsoe/Jodie Meeks
    SG-Wes Matthews/Kyle Korver*
    SF-Shawn Marion/Luc Mbah A Moute
    PF-Amar'e Stoudemire/Taj Gibson
    C-Emeka Okafor/David Lee/Brendan Haywood

    vs.

    AFS
PG- Deron Williams/Goran Dragic/ Johnny Flynn
    SG- James Harden/Tracy Mcgrady
    SF- Grant Hill/Hedo Turkglu
    PF- Pau Gasol/ Ed Davis
    C- Hilario Nene/Omer Asik/Kwame Brown

My bad I haven't checked the thread in almost a week. Thanks for setting up the polls torque. Are we voting for the better team?

Here's why I think my team is better. I have the reigning MVP in Derrick Rose teamed with Amare, which is an unstoppable duo. I also have Wes Matthews who can shoot deep and defend. Shawn Marion is my defense on the perimeter, and he can guard just about anyone. My center is one of the best defensive big men in the game and he's the perfect match next to Amare.

My bench is packed with offense, but I also have Mbah A Moute who is the most underrated defensive player in the game. He can guard 1-4. If my team needs a stop, I can also put Brendan Haywood in over David Lee. I believe I have the most depth out of all the teams. Good luck to AFS, but I feel my team is better.

Hey torque, there was a trade that went down where I traded Dragic for Nick Young. My lineup should look like:

    D-Will/T-Mac/Flynn
    Harden/Young
    SF- Grant Hill/Hedo Turkglu
    PF- Pau Gasol/ Ed Davis
    C- Hilario Nene/Omer Asik/Kwame Brown

Here's why I think my team is better: I have a beastly combination of Pau Gasol and Nene. Because they are matched up with Amare and Okafor, Amare is gonna get scored on whoever he ends up guarding. Both Gasol and Nene are very good two way players.

I also have one of the best pass-first point guards in the game. D-Will is a playmaker and him running pick-and-rolls with Gasol and Nene is gonna be hard to defend. He's also a good two-way player.

Grant Hill had a good year. He served as the Suns' defensive stopper and had quite a bit of success at it. He's also a 40% 3-pt shooter and helps spread the floor nicely for my two bigs.

And don't forget about James Harden sitting at SG. The talent of my starting 5 is sick.

Then my bench can score. Tracy had success playing PG for the Pistons and creating plays for others. Nick Young can get his buckets and is another 40% 3-pt shooter. Turkoglu too. Asik and Ed Davis give me good backcourt defense when my starters are out.

Ricky's team is good. I just think mine is better. We'll see what happens.

Two very good teams here. Sorry Ricky I had to go with AFS. It seems spacing may be a problem on your team as Wes/Korver are your only shooters.
AFS team is just a lot better as a whole imo. I like his frontcourt. Grant Hill was excellent last year. With Deron in his backcourt, I think that team could go far.

Jodie Meeks shot almost 40% from three on about 5 attempts per game. I'm not worried about spacing as Gasol and Nene aren't gonna stop Amare or D Rose from getting to the rim.
