The field has been trimmed from 24 to 16. In this round, the team that receives the most votes will move on in the competition. Review the rosters, then vote for the team which you believe is BETTER

    VBG
    PG - Jason Kidd
    SG - Eric Gordon / O.J. Mayo
SF - Nicholas Batum / Corey Maggette
    PF - Zach Randolph
    C - Samuel Dalembert / Nick Collison

    Vs.

    fadeaway
PG - Brandon Jennings / Luke Ridnour
    SG - DeMar DeRozan
SF - Josh Smith / Shane Battier
PF - Carlos Boozer / Chuck Hayes
    C - Pau Gasol

    Good Luck Fadeaway

Anyway, Here's a breakdown on why my team is better.

    Perimter play -

    1. Offensive spacing - All three of my backcourt players are knockdown shooters. You cannot give any of them any space at all. On the other hand, only Ridnour is a semi-reliable shooter on his team.

    2. Perimeter Defense - Kidd is an extremely smart defender and Eric Gordon is an extremely tough one. OJ Mayo is also fast on his feet defensively. For Fadeaway, Ridnour is decent but hes too slow on Mayo/too weak for Eric Gordon and Kidd is not a main offensive option for me apart from spotting up. If Jennings is giving Kidd speed problems we can switch PG and SG defenders.

    3. Close game Perimeter go to guy - In the NBA you often need someone on the perimeter to put you over the top in close games. Eric Gordon does that for me.

So on the perimeter I have a pretty big advantage offensively and defensively

    Frontcourt play-

    1. Toughness - Playing in the frontcourt is often about toughness. Zach Randolph can push Boozer out of his spot. Dalembert has the length to irritate Gasol. Collison has the smarts to be an annoying pesky defender for 20 minutes a game.

    2. Going small - I can go small for stints with Batum. If he matches with Josh Smith playing PF, whoever he puts at Center will have a problem with Zach Randolph.

Frontcourt is quite even. Boozer has no one to help him get position which was the problem for him in Chicago. The BIG PROBLEM IS, he doesn't have perimeter players that will make me pay when I double.

I can help on Gasol since his team has pretty meh shooters. He cannot help on Z-Bo.

    Blah blah blah...

I'm not going to write a long, pointless analysis. Bottom line is that VBG has better guards and I have better big men. Value that however you will.
