I know I should, but it was just blatantly clear that cheating had already happened in this group in a big way. We had 50% (and sometimes higher) more votes than any other group (save for the arjun/wekko group, where there is also clearly cheating occurring).

For the record, the tally was 84 - 65 and I brought it up to 84 - 84.

I think enough negative sentiment has been expressed towards my team at this point to indicate that I won't be winning this thing overall, so I don't really care what happens, but anyway:

I do think that there has been too much focus on the one negative aspect of my team (limited 3 point shooting) and not enough on the positive aspects.

This is a team built around low post scoring and gritty defense. I think that I have arguably the best front court out of all the teams in this contest, and also arguably the best overall defense. I thought those two points alone would make me one of the overall favorites, but I guess my perception was off a bit regarding this. I do think I have enough defensive talent (shot blocking and perimeter defense) and lineup flexibility to be able to lock down and stop pretty much every team out there.

Also, despite what some have said, scoring would not be a problem for this team. I have two legitimate 19-20 ppg threats (Gasol & Boozer) and three players who could easily average 15-17 ppg (J.Smith, Jennings, DeRozan). Simply put, these guys know how to put the rock in the hole, and I don't think some vague argument about "spacing" would keep them from doing this.

Anyway, I've said my piece. Feel free to disagree, but I honestly believe that the team I have put together is one of the stronger ones, and certainly the strongest in this group based on overall talent. :)

Also, I don't think any cheating has been going on (other than torque blatantly admitting that he did cheat). I think the fact that he took it upon himself to screw everything up because he didn't like the results is basis enough for removal from the game. But I guess VBG as the organizer needs to make a judgment call about what to do.

Spacing is a very important aspect of a balanced offense. You do have low post scoring, but without perimeter shooters to provide spacing, the defense can collapse on Gasol/Boozer. And then they'd have to kick it out for a low % perimeter shot.

Similarly, since Jennings/Smith/DeRozan aren't good shooters, how do you expect them to put the rock in the hole? The defense can sag off of them and dare them shoot the perimeter jumper. And since the defense has already given them space, it would be tough for them to try to penetrate into a congested lane.

It wasn't that I "didn't like the results," it's that I noticed systematic and obvious tampering with this group's polls, and I was trying to draw attention to that. I told everyone that I did it in an effort to have a re-do of our group with public polls. I also told everyone the vote count before and after I tampered with it. You yourself expressed dismay in the original thread about the polls not being public.
