Teams have been assembled and it's time to trim the field from 24 to 16. In this round, the team that receives the MOST votes will be eliminated from the competition. Review the rosters, then vote for the team which you believe is the WEAKEST.

    ICanDunkOnYao
    PG - Chauncey Billups
SG - Tyreke Evans / Evan Turner
SF - Andrea Bargnani / Hedo Turkoglu
    PF - Al Horford
    C - Tim Duncan / Tiago Splitter

    YourSecretLover
    PG - Kyrie Irving / J.J. Barea
SG - Arron Afflalo / Anthony Morrow
    SF - Carmelo Anthony
PF - Serge Ibaka / Carl Landry
    C - Joakim Noah

    AFS
PG - Raymond Felton / Baron Davis
SG - Nick Young / Brandon Roy
    SF - Rudy Gay
    PF - Al Jefferson
    C - Anderson Varejao / Enes Kanter

As a reminder, you're voting on which team you believe should be eliminated, not which team is the best. Voting will end Thursday at 30 minutes past midnight.

N.B.: 2010-11 performance is being used as a baseline for projecting player performance.

I got the best player in this group(melo). To cover for his defense, I got a defensive beast frontcourt in ibaka and noah while grabbing one of the best defenders in affalo. Also my bench provides instant offense. Not only that I got the best rebounding team in this group.

I've got three legitimate scoring threats in Rudy Gay, Al Jefferson, and Nick Young. Rudy Gay and Nick Young are both 39 percent 3-point shooters and Raymond Felton isn't too bad himself at 35 percent. Any one of the three can go off for a 30+ point night in a given game. The three ball really helps space the floor for Big Al, who is a force in the paint. At 6'10, 280 lbs, a PF with his kinda mass and skill in the post would give any defender issues.

Lets not forget about the breakout season Raymond Felton had. Prior to the trade for Melo, Felton and Amare were carrying that Knicks team to a positive record. He sets up his teammates well to score and averaged over 8 assists a game. With Baron Davis backing him up, he has a solid backup PG coming behind him and the flow of offense wouldn't shift too much during the substitution.

Brandon Roy claims that he has recovered from his injury and is ready to play again. If that's the case and he can return to even half of what he was, then he is easily the best 6th man in any roster. Even if that is false, he is still good for 25 bench minutes and can go beast-mode occasionally and put the team on his back, just like he did in the playoffs against the Mavs.

Varejao is a good post defender and defensive anchor, and as much as everyone might hate him for existing, he is still effective on defense, and with a rotation of him, Jefferson and Kanter, interior defense is not an issue with my team.

Enes Kanter dominated competition at the 2010 Nike Hoop Summit, getting 34 points and 13 rebounds in 24 minutes of play. He did this against a USA team full of future pros. We know from draft combine that the man has a crazy motor and can shoot the ball well all the way out to the 3-pt line. With his size and weight, he will do well playing some minutes off the bench in this offense.

    As for scoring in the clutch, Rudy's got this: <iframe width="420" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/N8yTXOi9LHk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

ICanDunkOnYao, I apologize for being hard on you after you traded away Dirk. You certainly made the right move. You have built a very nice team here. Props.

Yea his team is solid. the only major problems I see is with Bargnani not being able to guard other 3's and not being able to get around them much. Tyreke is very inneficient and can't shoot. His backcourt defense isn't very good either. But other than that, his frontcourt is amazing and a good leader in billups

No one can guard Bargnani at the 3. With his height advantage, he'll be able to take shots (and make a good amount of them) without being blocked. Also, his subpar defense is very overstated. See for yourself. <iframe width="560" height="345" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/VBDL8cZ8xaU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Tyreke cannot shoot well, but he can penetrate at will. Remember to consider the fact that overall, Sacremento has poor offensive players and Tyreke may have to shoot at a higher volume to compensate for his teammates. Besides, since I already have two great shooters (Billups and Bargnani), it would be redundant to have another shooter.

Bargnani can shoot over guys, yes but he won't be able to guard quicker sfs. And if a backup pf guards him or a tall sf say odom or wallace, he will have trouble. He scores so much because his teammates stink. Tyreke is very inconsistent with finishing or at least this year he was.

Your defense video consisted of pretty easy shots missed. Not his defense.

I still feel like I have the best team overall in this group. ICanDunkOnYao has a pretty good team too but when it comes to matching my team, I feel like I have the edge.

Bargnani cannot stop Melo, while Bargnani will struggle with my suffocating defense. As a result, ICDOY will have to rely on Billups and Tyreke for offensive production. However, I have Afflalo who I feel will make Tyreke have one of those inefficient shooting nights and become a blackhole on offense. Don't forget that I have the best defensive frontcourt so it will be hard to pull off a shot in the paint. I love his frontcourt of Horford(big fan actually) and Duncan. But Duncan is getting older and his production on all aspects of basketball is dropping. Overall , my bench is superior to his bench also. It provides an offensive spark whenever I need another scorer.

I still like your team ICDOY

yeah but you can't have an entire team based on melo's offense
your second best offensive player is irving who hasnt played an nba game yet
this team just cant realistically compete

We have never seen Irving play. He's your starting pg. So you can expect 0s accross the board.

This is not based on last season. I think vbg said to use las season as a base to evaluate this season but factor other things like age and injuries. To me this is the 2011-2012 season if there wasn't a lockout. That's why we were able to choose rookies but couldn't pick players like shaq or Yao cause they retired after last season.

I think kyrie Irving will be a top 15 Pg in his rookie season at least. Sort of a mike conley level. I can't post videos(on my phone) right now but he is the real deal. Has a high basketball iq who can Pass the ball and make everyone on the team better.

And I think paul george will break out to be a top 10 sf in the nba. Its all speculation. There are a lot of college players who don't transition well. You can't know until you see them.

Lol fine I'm tired of arguing.

Dharocks, can you change my lineup. I wanna start in barea at Pg and Carl Landry a pf so ppl will stop complaining with my lack of offense.

Secret lovers team kinda looks like a real team. But I'm not sure it'll win another round. Melo might walk away next round and demand to play with another star.

The idea of Melo and Bargnani trying to guard each other one on one kind of made my night, so thanks for that.
