My First Team All America for '01-'02:
PG: Jason Williams- The best player in college basketball by far.
SG: Casey Jacobsen- Probably the best shooter in college.
SF: Tayshaun Prince- Made the right decision by returning to a loaded Wildcats team
PF: Drew Gooden- Has Roy Williams thinking final four for Kansas.
C: Udonis Haslem- The only low post presence for Billy Donovan's Gators, who are Final Four contenders again this year.

    1st Team:
PG Jason Williams - No brainer
SG Casey Jacobsen - Watch out for DaJaun Wagner!!! Jaun Dixon should also have a huge year.
SF Mike Dunleavy - Will have for opportunities with Battier gone and proved against Arizona that he is a CLUTCH shooter.
PF - Drew Gooden - Most athletic big man in the nation will tear up the Big 12
C - Chris Marcus - 7'1" 285lbs. strong man from Western Kentucky is the real deal.

    2nd Team:
    PG - Frank Williams
    SG - Jaun Dixon
    SF - Tayshaun Prince
    PF - Lonny Baxter
    C - Carlos Boozer

    3rd Team:
PG - Tossup between Maurice Baker and Troy Bell
    SG - DaJaun Wagner!!!
    SF - Jason Kapano
    PF - Jared Jeffries
    C - Dan Gadzuric

I don't know much about college basketball, but what about Kareem Rush? I saw a game or two of his last year, and was quite impressed.

Kareem Rush is an outstanding player. He is finally starting to come out of his brother Jaron's shadow. He isn't as athletic as Jaron, but is a much better scorer, has better ballhandling, and is much more refined. His future is much brighter than Jaron's was.

Guys I saw Kareem Rush play here in the Eastern Sub-Regionals (whatever they call them).

One of the games was against Duke, of course. You should have heard the accolades that Coach K laid on this kid.

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLAYER. This guy is smoothe as silk and money in the bank. Excuse the cliches, but he is that good!

Love to see him in a Rockets uni someday-- just not the PJs.

The cliches are easily excused, because there is no better word to describe the guy than "silk." He has the sweetest stroke I've seen from a college guy in a long time. Apparently with Shandon coming back I doubt he would fit into the Rockets plans, but they won't be drafting that early anyway.

NBA Draft.net has him going with the 14th pick in next year's draft. We might reel him in yet.

I'm a Duke guy, but I think he'll be a better pro than Jason Williams.

Rush is the smoothest shooter I've EVER seen. Plus he's a leftie.

No way, Jason Williams will be an outstanding pro. I'm drooling over everything that he can do along with all the other scouts in the NBA, including Michael Jordan. Rush is outstanding, but Williams is on another level- a level by himself- IMO.

I don't know a lot about college basketball but I think DaJaun Wagner will tear up the NCAA next season than enter next years draft and be a high lottery pick.

Gooden is on Roy Williams' Kansas Jayhawks. If he was a Wildcat, you might as well hand Tubby Smith the NCAA Championship now.

    What's everybody's obsession with Gooden?

They guy is a pansy! Like all KU big men in the past, save Pollard...

    My team would be...

    PG-Jason Williams
    SG-Jacobsen
    SF-Prince
    PF-Baxter
    C-Boozer

What about Wilt? I don't think one guy who played there 50 years ago, really is an example against my point that KU doesn't turn out physical big men...

LaFrentz is good, but far from a bruiser...

Don't tell me you count Mark Randall as a physical big man... Who played in the NBA for like 2 games...

Kelvin Cato' Mom, my apologies but just because a player can dominate your son doesn't make them a player to watch. Your son was the NBA w****, everyone used him and then abused him. Sorry.

Part of your point was Like all KU big men in the past, save Pollard... Your absolute statement, wasn't absolutely true. Instead of admitting to an oversight, we all make mistakes, or adding another exception, you say it shouldn't count. Grow up kid.
