    CCP don't **** around. They blacklisted the country's favorite NBA team and seriously hurt the entire NBA's business in that country. A single billionaire isn't worth **** to them. I guess it's one thing true to the Communist ideal that China espouses: everyone is the same and no one is above the collective.

    if The CCP is truly representative of the collective people of China I wish we had the power to crack the whip on American Billionares and corporations. Sadly it’s the other way around here

    He has said too many positive things about the United States and is a firm believer in personal freedoms. I am sure Xi is sick of dealing with Ma's comments and beliefs. The guy is a Buddhist that also has been critical of China's lack of moral values. I believe he had an IPO shelved by Xi recently.

    Last time the CCP got a hold of him they claims publicly that he was a CCP member and believer. Assuming that the CCP has him now, God only knows what pledge he will have to take. While China has some strong things going for it, I believe this type of behavior is ultimately going to hurt China. People like Ma are very rare and should be able to express their opinions and views because they are visionaries.

    On the real tho, how scary must it be to live in a place where u can go “missing” for saying anything that’s deemed out of line? U basically aren’t allowed to express your own thoughts, beliefs, or values if they don’t 100% align with the government’s. At least not publicly.
