Well, with the "24 hours of Bosh" event going on, I decided to dig a little on the 15th man on the Rockets roster, Alexander Johnson.

Originally drafted in the 2nd round in 2006, this guy is intriguing.

    6'9" 240 pounds with a 40"+ vertical leap.

Even in the predraft stuff from Draft Express they were talking about how athletic he was, and how quick for a PF.

He averaged 23pts and 11 rebounds while shooting 57% in the D-league, which is a more guard oriented league, so those are pretty good numbers.

I wonder, with Hill and Patterson being on the team, if they might be traded, and this guy ends up being our Carl Landry replacement?

He is still young, and has played in the NBA for both Memphis and Miami, maybe he has finally polished his game to where he can crack the rotation.

Seems like a nice little find for the Rockets......anyway....

And just a small diversion, from "24 hours of Bosh"

So Alex.....this buds for you !

    (Not Cbud of course).

Just thought it would be fun to talk Rockets basketball a bit and introduce us to a guy that is already on the team.

He sounds like he is at least an NBA player.

Our depth in the frontcourt is astounding. I'll be happy if he adds to it.

If I remember correctly, he played well when he did get minutes. After looking at his stats and reading about him I could not figure out why he didn't stick with an NBA team. The talent, attitude and most importantly the production all seemed to be there.

Even if he is to get him as a free agent is better than getting him with the 2nd pick in the draft like Stro.

Oh, man, your fetish about sexual parts is usually annoying, but this was funny.

He's a pretty skilled guy. He needs a good look and thats been the problem. I thought about him and courtney umm, cant think of his last name that played with the suns a couple of years ago.I think the guy Ajinca, drafted by the bobcats would be a good player to play behind of yao. I think johnson will get to show something and stick, but he will have to show more on the defensive side.

we have 8 guys to rotate through center and power forward now?

clearly some of these guys wont be here after the free agent mess is cleared up.

Yao, Scola, Hill, Hayes, Jeffries, Andersen, Johnson, Patterson
