I was impressed with Alex Scales in those early preseason games and I thought he played well. Too bad he wasn't a PG so there is no room for him here.

He went on to play for Shanghai Sharks, yes, Yao's former team and just recently voted into CBA's all star games.

Another familiar name I saw was God Shammgod. I saw a few of his game in college days and always wondered where he ended up.

Alex is the man. Whoever has him playing on their team is blessed.

I can't believe that Zhu Fangyu made the team. EVERYbody knows he doesn't deserve it this year! ;)

Anyone else think the Rockets may be paying Scales under the table to play in China since China were insisting that we send a player there in exchange for Yao?

Surprise surprise we sent them their new MVP in exchange for Yao.

Controversial subject I guess, but the thought DID occur to me. You guys?

Intriguing idea, Sane. And maybe instead of money under the table to Scales, perhaps he was promised an "edge" in next season's training camp. I doubt they would promise him a roster spot, but if it came down to him and another similarly talented player, they might just go with Scales. Of course, that's all assuming there is some kind of deal like you suggest.

    Testing, testing...HOORAY.

God Shammgod! That's the greatest name I've ever heard off!! Wow!

"Pleased to meet you, too. My name? God. God Shammgod. Yes, really."

I think Muoneke plays for Beijing. I saw once where he scored 37 points in a loss. In a 12 team league, Beijing is 11th and Yao's old Shanghai Sharks are in 9th place.

I happened to be looking for Lenny Cooke: my wife grew up near where he lived for a while in New Jersey, and was talking about him the other day. Surprise, surprise! He's playing for Shanghai Sharks too!

If Sharks still can't win with Scales AND Cooke, what does that say about the rest of the team?
