Just saw this on the 11pm ESPN NEWS. It was just a liner saying that Fisher is officially leaving LA, and according to Aldridge Houston is a possible destination.

No link, take it for what its worth.

Aldridge said the same thing on SportsCenter when he was on. He made it sound like he had a lot of interest in the Rockets.

We won't need Fisher ... we will be getting Lue to go with Mike Wilks. ;)

Seriously, Fisher would be a great pick up as a spot up shooter and smart distributer. A PG combo of Fisher and Ollie, while not glamorous, will be effective IMO.

If we sign this guy, we'll be all set.

    Fisher
    Mac
    JJ
    Taylor
    Yao

    Wow!

He needs to tell Kareem Rush to come along for the ride too.

Ohhh man. I'd love to have Derek Fisher.

And he should consider the Rockets big time too because he would be our starting point guard.

    lol yup i agree!

I would still like to get Brent Barry though..or Nick Van Exel.

STeve...I mean...wow Steve's gone. I was going to list our roster lol.

    Fisher 24/Lue 24/Ollie
    T-Mac 39/
    Jimmy/Nachbar/Griffin/
    Howard/Taylor/Spoon/Declerq
    Yao 35/

I don't know but I'd still love to have Barry..playing at the 3? We could have so many different combinations! Very versatile team.

I've had nights when I couldn't sleep because he comes in and buries 3s on us left and right. Having him on the team would make me sleep much easier

Id rather have barry, but fisher will do. Fisher is better defensively and hit the 3 ball.

But imagine if we had Barry, JJ, and Tmac waiting for the three pointer.

To me, Taylor can really develop into our poor man's C-Webb if he keeps his nose off the coke. He can shoot from the distance with regularity and can post a bit. His only weak point may be his defense, but I think that can be improved over time under Jvg's system.

    Indeed!

Fisher/Ollie with T-mac and JJ ,we'll be all set defensively, those players will fit nicely under JVG. Not to mention, Yao (who should have less to worry about with those good defensive capable gaurds in his roster) and Boki "6th man" Nachbar. ;)

Ahh.. Can't wait to finally have a team with chemistry, playing "team" basketball. Sounds good. :D

Personally, I'd rather have Fisher than Barry simply because Fish is a true point guard, while Barry is more of a 2.

More importantly, we'll finally have a true identity.

No more identity problems! :D ;)

Fisher is quicker and has a killer 3 pt shot. Fish ain't exactly dumb. AND he's younger.
