Meh. None of this is "good" for anything other than to have a "high." What do you want, a bowl of crap, or a plate of crap? You decide.

    p.s. - yes, I drink beer and tequila. :p
I don't think I can take anyone who can't 1) use punctuation, 2) can't spell "whatsoever", or 3) doesn't know the difference between "than" and "then" seriously, either.

It will be fun . . .when they start getting treated like Tobacco Smokers [The Pariahs of our current society]

The 'No Smoking' in clubs and bars will all of a sudden be 'bull****'.
Having to be 25 feet from the building and not near humanity rule will be 'bull****' too

    lol

And? I didn't say anything negatively towards one or the other. I was simply speaking from my experience. I don't know any successful alcoholics. :)

Survey says: you essentially just pulled the black friend card of racial discussions. It's self-evident that weed affects motivation and memory.

Lol that is a terrible analogy. You're really bad at this.

It could have been a better analogy but it's not wrong. You made a generalization: "my successful friends smoke pot so it obviously doesn't affect motivation" which is analogous to white people saying "I have black friends therefore I don't hate black people."

I am not saying that anyone should avoid weed. However, you're delusional if you don't believe it has any negative affects.

You should offer reasoned arguments if you are going to call other people out on their lack of reasoning. Some people get extremely defensive in regards to weed. I'd post research but I'd expect only "lolz" and "dumbass" comments.

I bet you aren't capable of having a civilized discussion without resorting to ad hominem. I'm not scared of weed. I smoke it with full knowledge of its potential harms. I advise you do the same and research the drugs you're using (even the "natural" ones).

    a) Show me where I made that initial quote, cus you're making **** up.
    b) I smoke often and I'm quite successful. I just don't like to throw my personal information out like that. Since you're going to be a moron, why not.
    c) Sorry, you can defend it all you like. That analogy was not only incorrect, it was completely nonsensical.

Controlled substances affect different people differently. If you want to talk about generalizing, you should go re-read your own posts. You claim that people who smoke are "unmotivated and spacey" (hey look, a quote that someone actually posted), and I stated that I know plenty of people who are very successful.

Just because I didn't put all of my friends on blast and tell you their exact occupation and salary doesn't mean I'm incorrect. I know several people who make 80-100k+/yr and smoke daily, I also know several people who probably make 30k or less and smoke daily. Life is what you make of it, dumbass.

did you use any sources for your in-depth and thorough research besides your ass?

there are various kinds of weed that has different affects and different people are going to respond differently to different types of drugs. you're just generalizing a whole population based on stereotypes.

I've read studies that suggest that it affects memory and certain other brain activities before a certain age. Weed is most susceptible to permanently damaging the brain in brains that are still developing. I believe the minimum age for smoking should be roughly around 19 years of age. No studies suggest weed damaging the brain once the brain has fully matured.

I personally smoke 2-3 times a month only when I have significant down time during the school semester, but during winter and summer break, I'll smoke 2-3 times a week. The only significant negative affect from smoking for me is I get some serious munchies. If I smoked everyday I would gain some serious weight.

And therein lies the problem. Lol the ol "everyone does it" argument. Its only acceptable when talking about alcohol. Where else would that argument work? I have no problems with people questioning the negative effects of mar1juana. Just feel alcohol needs to be looked at in a similar light.

Its kind of sad that alcohol is so accepted. I mean, people automatically assoicate celebration with alcohol. All these commercials during sports that kids watch make beer looks so cool. Can't have a party without alcohol! You talk about the "Pot Culture" being juvenile, but what isn't juvenile about kids dedicating their time in high school and college to drinking? There is nothing juvenile about passing out and pissing your pants. Who hasn't driven home, drunk? RIght? But who cares, everyone drinks. Sad but true.

Alcohol seems to be much more harmful on your body. I don't have any scientific data or studies to present to you guys. Just the massive hangover and general feeling of crap that I have felt since New Years and then having my 30th birthday this past weekend.

I use to smoke all the time, I do a couple of times a month now. Never felt like such trash or that my stomach was ready to come up out of my throat or drop out my ass after a night of getting high. I do get spacey at times and paranoid but I also become a deeper thinker and great lover.

It is proven that too much alcohol can kill you. I do not believe the same has been proven for mar1juana.

The lazy argument is dumb, most stoners that you associate being lazy with are habitual smokers or light up first thing in the morning, at noon, in the afternoon and then all night. There are drinkers with the same problems and I don't believe those types are typically successful or have drive.

Except second hand tobacco smoke is much more harmful than weed smoke. And you can always have a portable vape. If a bar has an outdoor area that allows tobacco and not mar1juana, then that would indeed be bull****.

You're thinking mar1juana is manufactured like tobacco or alcohol. Its not as "man made" as those are. Sure, I think if Marlboro starts making mar1juana cigarettes you'd worry about that but not if youre going into a mom and pop dispensary. Think of mar1juana being like a fruit or vegtable. Its like growing tomatoes and you are going to the farmers market to get some.

Weed smokers wouldn't care about smoking in clubs/bars. Smoking is still smoking so those laws will still be here. "Oh we can't smoke here?" as opposed to "You're going to jail for a joint" seems like a good trade off pro-weed people can accept. I'm sure if they said "weed is legal, but only to be consumed in private", most folks would be fine.
