I recently repurchased Grant Lee Buffalo's Jubilee after randomly hearing "Truly, Truly" on the radio. I forgot how much I love this album. The perfect blend of roots, country, and rock & roll sung by one of the most amazing voices in music today.

My reccomdendations off the album: "Seconds", "Truly, Truly", & "Everybody Needs a Little Sanctuary"

    What have you rediscovered lately?

    The Beatles.

Threw the red album on for the kids. Thought they might like it....and I wasn't about to get some sappy kid music I didn't want to listen to ;)

(I think i was inspired by a thread here...about music kids like)

    Ok Computer.

I forgot just how damn great the album is. I listened to it a couple months ago and I have been addicted. I've always considered The Bends to be my favorite Radiohead album but this one is slowly eclipsing it.

"Candy-O" by The Cars - their 2nd album. It is not quite as good as their debut (but topping that album would be almost impossible), but it is a very solid sophomore effort. I have been listening to it, pretty much every day, for the last 3 weeks.

Caught the "New" Cars live last month. Absolutely marvelous show with the only downer being that they didn't play "Since You're Gone".

fkdndfvnjren. "Everything all the Time" is so amazing. I thought it was realeased only a couple months ago? Man, it's freaking good. "The Funeral" and "Great Salt Lake" are seriously works of art.

Man I saw Damien Jurado last summer at Cornerstone Festival. "Intoxicated Hands" was one of the best songs I've ever heard live. His music is so beautiful and emotional.

I've recently come to the conclusion that either...

    a) most of today's music blows chimps

    or

    b) I'm getting old

I downloaded the following albums to my iPod over my 4-day weekend:

-Journey, Escape (don't laugh, this is a damn good album)
    -Rush, Exit Stage Left
    -ZZ Top, Delquelo (sp?)
    -Styx, Paradise Theatre
    -AC/DC, Highway to Hell
    -Supertramp, Breakfast in America

I haven't really rediscovered a particular album as much as I have an entire artist. I never really gave Smashing Pumpkins a chance back in the 90's, but I love their stuff nowadays.

Every album is basically a classic.

The Cornerstone up in Illinois? If so, that's a pretty awesome music festival. I went a few years back, had a lot of fun.

I've listened to, like, five different live Joe Jackson bootlegs over the last few days. Two from 1979, three from the current tour.

pumpkins have this song that bears an uncanny resemblance to "because i love you" which is a classic 60s/70s aussie song by masters apprentices.

I remember when Joe Jackson played Astroworld in the late 80's. Wrong venue, I'd say.

I have an LP of Ogden's Nut Gone Flake that's literally falling apart from so many trips on the turntable. I bought it when it came out, and the damn thing blew me away. Still does. I just wish they would do a good remastering job on it. I don't think they have yet, have they?

I've been listening to Runt, Spooky Two, and Tea for the Tillerman at lot lately. Each LP reminds me of a different girl I had a relationship, a fling, and an affair with... before I was married, of course. Don't know why I would be listening to them now, but there you go.

I busted out The Postal Service on my mp2 player. Sweet. I think one of their tracks is used in a Civic commercial now. Such Great Heights is an awesome track, but really I like all of them. Oh, and I have a hard time getting tired of Franz Ferdinand's sophomore effort as well.

I didn't "rediscover" this song, but I've been addicted to the World Cup, and there are two commercials played a bunch that come with addictive songs - "Eanie Meany" by Jim Noir (the one in the 2nd Adidas commercial where those two boys are playing soccer with the big players) and the "Woo Hoo" remake by the 5.6.7.8's (currently featured endlessly in those Vonage ads).
