On my way to and from work today, I decided to listen to some of my old CDs. I went thru a few and was like man, what was I thinking!!!

But then a few of them still sounded great today. These are albums you haven't heard in a looooooooooong time ... not like from last year.

So I listened to three that still sounded good:

Ace of Base - The Sign (1994)
En Vogue - Funky Divas (1992)
    Def Lepard - Hysteria (198?!?)

    What are some of yours

I once heard this album played on the Arrow in its totality one night.

the classic rock album at midnight. do they still do that?

weird seeing it mentioned because as i was playing Bat Out of Hell on my computer today i remembered it was the classic album at midnight where i first heard all the other songs on top of Bat Out of Hell from that album. shame you never near that song on the radio. not classic rock enough for arrow i guess and definitely not new wave so it doesn't get on 80's stations. in bball terms, a tweener.

Spooky Two, by Spooky Tooth. Released in 1969.

Great British blues/rock group from late '60's/early '70's. Terrific guitar, with even better keyboards and vocals by Gary Wright and Mike Harrison.

Waitin' For the Wind, I've Got Enough Heartaches, Lost In My Dream, Evil Woman, That Was Only Yesterday and Better By You Better Than Me are all excellent. I don't know that there is a "B" cut on this record. Definitely their best. Another group I'm glad I got to see before they started going their separate ways. I was reading somewhere on the Net that they were playing progressive blues/rock a year before Lead Zeppelin, which was true and not an unfair comparison for the group.

Awesome!!! Jimi sounds as good today as he did in the 60's. So far ahead of his time.

All the Beatles stuff still sounds amazing. Another band that everyone is trying to catch up to.

Bob Dylan "Freewheelin" there is not a better album...ever...by anyone.

Just got Dreamtime the other day and listened to it this morning. Love is a great CD as well.

Well, I will go by CDs that I have not listened to in a long time instead of ones that have been around for a long time like the great Dylan CDs of the '60s.

My picks are "Johnny Gill" and "New Edition's Greatest Hits, Volume 1".

with the exception of Depeche Mode, I whole-heartedly agree with you andy. ;)

I love every one of those(love may be little strong for BJ..but it is at least decent)...but great calls on all the other ones.

    I add:

AC/DC -- Back in Black and Highway to Hell
    Deep Purple -- Perfect Strangers
Judas Priest -- Sad Wings of Destiny and Hellbent for Leather
    Night Ranger -- Dawn Patrol
    Ozzy -- Diary and Blizzard
Savatage -- Sirens and Dungeons are Calling
Rush -- Moving Pictures and 2112
    Tesla -- Mechanical Resonance
Talas -- live Speed on Ice
    Thin Lizzy -- JAilbreak

I could go on...there are just sooo many great classic rock albums that hold up very well over the years.
