Al Qaeda Sends a Message to Democrats

    December 22, 2006 2:28 PM

Brian Ross and Hoda Osman Report:

New_tape_nr_1Al Qaeda has sent a message to leaders of the Democratic party that credit for the defeat of congressional Republicans belongs to the terrorists.

In a portion of the tape from al Qaeda No. 2 man, Ayman al Zawahri, made available only today, Zawahri says he has two messages for American Democrats.

"The first is that you aren't the ones who won the midterm elections, nor are the Republicans the ones who lost. Rather, the Mujahideen -- the Muslim Ummah's vanguard in Afghanistan and Iraq -- are the ones who won, and the American forces and their Crusader allies are the ones who lost," Zawahri said, according to a full transcript obtained by ABC News.

Zawahri calls on the Democrats to negotiate with him and Osama bin Laden, not others in the Islamic world who Zawahri says cannot help.

"And if you don't refrain from the foolish American policy of backing Israel, occupying the lands of Islam and stealing the treasures of the Muslims, then await the same fate," he said.

    Extremely ignorant question:

I thought we got rid of this Zawahri dude?

Sounds like a republican message to me.

Isn't this the same message Georgie Bush was saying before the election?

That's eerily similar to Delay's statement about the election:

    "Democrats didn't win. Republicans lost."

Hmm...so pretty much whomever we voted for...we lost. I love how Al Qaeda can seemingly spin any situation to their favor. That's when you know they are full of ****.

Youre probably thinking of Al Zarqawi, who supposedly led Al Queda in Iraq

This message comes from Ayman al Zawahri, No 2 in charge of Al Queda worldwide, who is alive and well somewhere in Waziristan courtesy of the Pakistani government

Could it be that they are setting up the Dems to come out and fight?

It's funny to see Repubs bragging how they were beaten by terrorists.

This post is absolutely spot on ~ I wonder how many more losses the repubs will suffer in the next few years from the terrorists...

How do the liberals feel about forming this political coalition with the terrorists?

Obviously, there is no way you can argue that the liberals and the terrorists do not share a common cause with regard to the war. We don't even need this story's acknowledgement to know this.

Liberals + Terrorists = Formula for Midterm success
