I wonder if we could trade a few of our men to get Vince Carter? Things seem to be a little rocky for him in Toronto. I would love to hear people say here comes Carter off the "launch pad". You all think it could happen? Is he worth it?
No thank you. Vince Carter is the most overrated player in the NBA, he can do little but dunk, and if you think that Mobley jacks up alot of shots, wait until you see VC.
I am one who says that Carter is alot better than you think. Only thing that can slow him down is injuries. Did you guys forget that memorable playoff series against the Sixers when he and Ivereson were putting up back to back 50+ point games aginst each other. He's just been hit by the injury bug, but I bet he will show alot of people this season.
Oh really................ VC is the biggest punk, crybaby i've ever seen. He has the worst attitude i've ever seen He does'nt want to take it to the next level and be a leader like a superstar player should I wouldn't take him Isay the only things that could slow him down is his attitude and his WHINING...........He gets the whiner of the year award ever single year
Of course, I'm just talkin about the biggest Punk.........not the only punk, theres plenty punks in the league VC is just the biggest
You're kidding right? You've never seen VC play have you? Based on his performance right now he is overrated, but that's because he's been on the injured listen for like year and half. Before that let me remind all of you that HE WAS BETTER THAN KOBE. That injury really slowed him down and he was better 2 years ago than he is now. Vince jacks up a lot of shots? Anybody who's actually watched his game would say he needs to jack up more shots. He's trying to hard to get his teammates involved and needs to be more selfish. My only prob with him is his heart, he doesn't seem like he wants to win sometimes and he needs to get FAR more aggressive and physical. But at least in terms of raw talent he was and would have been better than Kobe right now.
He doesn't look like the same player as he once was. His athleticism while still amazing is not what it once was and I think it's hurting his game. He doesn't have a consist jumpshot either.
i wouldnt mind taking a chance on him. If we could get him for the right price The only way we could get him would be for at least Mobley and Cato.
lol.....for Mobley and Cato only? HELL YES I would definitely accept! Vince Carter, Steve Francis, and Yao Ming........DAAAAAAAAYAAAAAAAAAAM. Yeah. Whoa. Yeah. AWESOME.
I don't like Vince Carter but it's wrong to say he can do little but dunk. He's as good as Kobe & T-Mac but with a attitude problem. Here's a list of things he can do: Shoot jumper, pretty good 3pt shooter Dunking, of course Go inside for a layup in traffic with great body control Jumping, (supremely atheletic) Running Here's the things Carter lacks: Leadership Commitment Defense
I wouldn't mind having Carter of course, but nothing we'd be willing to give up could get him. Carter's got unlimited potential, but his work ethic isn't that good. With the right coach I think he could be great (not sure if JVG is the right coach for him though).
Jordan criticized VC's defense awhile back, and after it was all said and done Jordan had admitted he was wrong.
Yeah, VC's defense is underrated. He used to be a great player, unfortunately he seems to have regressed. He wouldn't fit in here though, he's too selfish. I think he should've learned a thing or two from Hakeem about fockass. He's too much like a bigger version of Allen Iverson who likes to dunk to fit my taste. He's also soft - knock him down once, and he's shooting J's all night. He's a pretty good shooter though, so it doesn't take as much out of his game as it does some players. He used to be the best big guard in the league.
i meet nba players all through out the regular season, and while granted, everybody has bad days and one experience with a person is hardly enough to really judge them for, i still must say that vince carter has been the only player to ever be rude to me. also, he's washed up. i'm not going to be surprised if he goes the way of Grant Hill. That's tragic considering his talent, but it happens.
