See the article in the link below http://slate.msn.com/id/2084248/ Maybe I'm old fashioned (or just a music snob as described in ima drummer's thread) but why would anyone actually want to compete to be the best "fake" guitarist? This reminds me of my high school talent shows, where there was always a bunch of otherwise musically-challenged jocks would lip synch and dance around to "Y.M.C.A." or some other cheesy pop song. I guess those guys now have a new career opportunity to look forward to after graduation. Maybe they can become air guitar snobs like the author and the contestant who complained that it's "all about the costumes."
I saw that story on the news, and the guys on that were mere amateurs compared to me...I shouldve won that contest... You could tell they had never picked up a real guitar in their lives...
"air drums" beats "air guitar" anyday. especialy "air drums" preformed on your steering wheel with your dash and cup holders as various cymbols and percussion. i thought i was the only one who did that until one time i pulled up to a light and a guy was "air drumming" in his car as well. either that or he was chasing a mosquito that got in his car or something.
