Ahead of the Game: Time for the Rockets to Panic? (It’s not)

I still think they are in the vicinity of the Clippers(injuries and age) and maybe Pelicans.

Memphis will be better with JJJ healthy.

 

Ofcourse it's not time to panic but if we're 10 games in and we're still under .500, let's be real, this is the Western conference.

Any previous losses against bad teams will feel terrible when we look at the standings in April.

I agree. We can only panic if we go 1-3 with all loses to lotto teams

 

I think how you lose is the issue. If it's because some superstar goes Nova on you, you can't really do anything about that. If it's because you can't hit wide open shots or your offense is predictable and/or your defense is crap that's when you get concerned.

 

I think we’ve reached a point where we have too many players that need development, and too few minutes relative to the need for good vets to actually win games. I’ve come to the opinion that u can’t have it both ways at a certain point; not with so many guys under 22. It’s a tough call on who to move on from, but I’d like to see a trade that improves our offense.

we’ve committed to Sengun and Jalen. I wouldn’t move Tari or Amen. All 4 of those guys will continue to need big minutes for development.

We don’t have the minutes to develop three more super young players. Someone will be the odd man out. Let make sure we don’t tank the value of some of our prospects because of a minutes crunch. I think we need to be a little more decisive and make some tough decisions to improve the team.
