i thought this was a really good show, and i for one am saddened that it has been removed from the airways...

seeing people from different viewpoints discuss thought provoking topics made for good tv

I thought it was a great show, if only Bill Maher would stop interrupting and assaulting people who disagreed with him. If he had just facilitated the discussion, or even participated like any of the others, great. But he had a bad habit of not letting people explain their points if he figured he'd disagree with them.

its not about the celebrity in itself (affleck)... but their cultural upbringing (boston streetboy gone rich and famous in the entertainment world) and how that affects their viewpoints on present day topics... i don't know about you, but i don't know people of that kind of background, so to hear how their upbringing influences their beliefs can be refreshing...

i agree with Major about Maher though... when people don't agree with his stance, he gets all bent out of shape, starts yelling, than usually just cuts to a commercial... he could have done a better job of pressing people's buttons, than sitting back and letting the discussion fly.

How long do you give the Jimmy Kimmel show until it bombs?

What's Jimmy's show about? Letterman-like? or something off-the-wall? Whatever it is...it will bomb, no doubt.

I liked the show, but I had some problems with it as well. Number 1 was the insane amount of commercials they seemed to have. Everytime a discussion got going semi-decent it was immediately cut off so Tide could hawk some more detergent. Number 2 was it had to many damn comedians or want to be comedians on all the time. I don't know about you, but I wasn't tuning in to see Carrot-Top crack one liners all damn night. All in all, it was a good show though and I'll miss it. The idea is a good one though, some show where people can come and talk openly and honestly about important topics.

And Smokey, I'll give it 2 months.

jimmy kimmel annoys the hell outta me on Fox's NFL show... you can tell that Bradshaw and Long aren't to fond of him either... how on earth did he get that gig?

but i like him on "The Man Show"... that's more his element (CC)

i didn't know he had a new show... anyone know when it airs and what channel? i'm curious about checking it out.

I hated the show. Let's get three liberals to gang up on the one conservative. Fun! Well, I liked when Ann Coulter was the one getting ganged up on. Other than that, I found it meaningless and unproductive.

Who actually styaed up until 3:30 to watch it.

I know it only appeared way way late night here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I watched maybe 5 episodes while it was airing that late.

    I won't miss it.

    EXACTLY

    I would sit they thinking. . .. LOOK CARROT TOP . . . WE NOT HERE TO HEAR YOUR ACT . . .. .
EVERY Comedian was TRYING to be funny 9/10 times
or Hawk a book or something

ALSO they had commercials almost every 5 minutes

    It needed to
    1. BE BACK ON CABLE
    2. I wanted some more audience participation.
    3. More diverse guest
